Let's go! Got the bad shooting games out of the way. Defense and rebounding!

Well, we will learn if we can beat an under-manned Nova squad. This is the downside of Wright’s strategy of not filling all your scholarships

They have no depth. Let’s get them in foul trouble. Hope Wright doesn’t have his way with the refs tomorrow.

Get some rest and get ready to hustle tomorrow. Even though Nova is hobbled, we need to continue to give 110% on the court.

Nova has good players on their bench but they don’t get much run throughout the season. They have talent there so I agree with the line.

They are playing with house money with the injuries. Hope we don’t somehow think we have this one in the bag

Make their backcourt beat us. I want to see Chris Arciadiacono hounded trying to bring the ball over mid-court and then left open to shoot to his heart’s content. He played 25 minutes against Providence after the Moore injury. He hasn’t scored a point all season. Bryan Antoine played 22 minutes in the last game. He is 1 of 2 from 2 and 2 of 8 from 3 on the season. Don’t leave Samuels. Let Antoine and Arcidiacono shoot all night. If they beat us, so be it.

This is is just great having this discussion AFTER WINNING a BET game. The pressure is off the Hoyas and on Nova. The team should go out there, have fun, rebound, play D, make some shots and beat the 'Cats.

It took a good half for GTown and Marquette to get a feel for shooting in a mostly empty NBA arena. Hopefully that gives us a slight advantage at the beginning of the game against Nova who got some extra rest and rust.

I'm always afraid of Jay Wright. He's played us twice and watched our Marquette game. He's smart enough (unlike Wojo) to understand that he can't play inside out against us anymore, our bigs are just too dominant inside. I expect him to bomb away from outside and if successful then try to penetrate off the dribble. But if they are unsuccessful, and we don't turn the ball over 20+ times, this could be a Hoya rout.

With Gillespie and Moore (potentially) out, I have to think all focus will be on Samuels and Robinson-Earl. We played Robinson-Earl fairly well but Samuels had a career night last time. He simply killed us from outside against Q and Tim. What might be the best tactic against him? I still feel like Q & Tim get a strong offensive advantage over him, so there’s some value having them out there, but they struggled defensively. Should we try a Pickett/Bile small ball lineup more this game? Think if we can restrict Samuels to his normal game, we have a good shot, even with the inevitable “some random dude” career game that will happen.
