I haven't tracked the contacts closely, but it is conceivable the Cole remains a non-counter and will walk on at GU. I know, call me crazy, but as long as Pat hasn't been in direct contact with him off-campus, it is possible. Fairly certain he did not take an official visit and the NLI issue could be moot in this situation also. Just speculating, but this would open the door to him and Sloan coming on board. Cole Anthony took an official visit to Georgetown in November. Well there you have it then. Was going to suggest someone track that info - turns out you already do! Just found the link to your spreadsheet - it's awesome, thank you!

I like what I see with Sloan. 10 assists a game of the type in the highlight film could be very interesting. If this is really a commitment, then it will mean not a starter on the roster can be complacent.
Akinjo can be replaced by Sloan or Mac. Mac can be replaced by Alexander Pickett can be replaced by Alexander Leblanc by replaced by Carter/Alexander/Qudus Yurtseven could be replaced by Qudus/Iohofe/Wilson. Yurt is probably the most secure but at least there is talent behind him.
While the buzz of getting Cole would be exciting, Sloan might be a better fit.

Sloan not better fit than Cole. Let’s be real. 😋 Not even close. Don't understand how people can think that. It's mind blowing to me.

Always room for the best player in a class, regardless of need or fit. No brainer! Also, our backups for Cole aren’t tall guards either.

Of course, that means we are actually getting Cole Anthony.

Of course, that means we are actually getting Cole Anthony. Or he read that we prefer Cole, haha. Only 10 hours left before this waiting game can be over! Coach has to know what Cole's decision is, I mean if they are that close. I would feel terrible waiting a weekend or a week to tell a close friend the results of a medical test whether it's good or bad news just because the office is closed or I'm on vacation. Maybe it's a poor analogy but waiting for his decision is having an effect on recruiting elsewhere whether we want to admit or not. I know we have to put on a show and hold on till he announces otherwise it's bad optics in regards to Coach and the program. With one scholarship left, this is literally bad timing. We need to hit the transfer/juco market, clearly we are not close to any 2019 recruit out of HS at this point.

I'm hearing from a good source that David Sloan is about to commit to Georgetown. Sloan's visit to see the Hoyas wrapped up Sunday, but don't expect any decision from him until he's been to Manhattan. "My visit to Georgetown was good," he said. "I had a good time, but my decision will be after the K-State visit." kansasstate.rivals.com/news/weber-looking-at-jc-point-guard-sloan

Looks like I was wrong, but I'm happy about that! Terrell and Gardner are much better pickups. Huge fan
