Some thoughts: - Dickerson's game was such a surprise that I'm not sure Derrickson's performance is getting enough credit. 27 points on 14 shots with 2 assists and no turnovers is absurd.
Here's Derrickson's last two games : 11-13 FG, 3-3 3PT, 2-2 FT, 7 R, 2 A, 0 TO 8-12 FG, 3-4 3PT, 3-4 FT, 18 R, 2 A, 0 TO That's like video game cheat code levels. I'm glad we're winning but I don't think expecting Derrickson to go Villanova '85 every night is sustainable. I don't expect him to be as efficient going forward (he didn't miss from 3) but I also don't think he took any out of the ordinary, tough shots at all last night. All of his 3PT attempts were wide open and he has scored effectively out of the post all year. Earlier in the year we didn't have many other threats to score on the floor, now we do, so that opens things up for him significantly. We've also started to pass better out of the double team in part because it looks like guys are moving better without the ball. This is key because if they're afraid to double, he can score on the block, if the double comes, he can hit a cutter for a layup or pass it back out for a 3 or repost for better position.

Ah right. I guess I’m not an authentic Irishman lol. Most places in the US don't serve Irish Guinness it is imported (as outside Ireland all Guinness is imported, sometimes neighboring countries passing across to each other) and a cooler pint of Guinness takes out some of the harshness. If you can find a place that truly gets its kegs from Ireland it doesn't have that slight bite and it is really creamy and really better at room temperature (53F to 66F) as having it cold loses some the wonderful taste. In DC area The Dubliner near Union Station and Ireland's Four Courts used to have arrangements to get all their Guinness from Ireland (not sure if this is still the case). Also look for places that do slow pours as they do at the Guinness factory. Its been many years since i was in the business but virtually all Guinness was directly imported and distributed by wholesalers. The Colemans at the Dubliner did have at one time and may still a direct deal on what i though was a special brew that they had used at the Dubliner and at the Family pub in Syracuse. The main problem with Guinness in this country is consistency and the supply of old out of code beer. wholesalers bringing in large quantities that sit in a warehouse with little if any shelf life by the time they make it to your favorite pub. Never mind the fact they are usually going through tap lines which are not cleaned as they should be or in most older places are traveling a long distance from the keg room to the tap along with every other chilled keg. Ideally a good pour should come out at slightly less than normal room temp and if the bartender has a clue he can easily get a good half inch or more of a creamy head into a room temp glass. Unfortunately its become a very hard thing to find.

Am I the only one who thinks that most of our players look virtually nothing like the comparisons?

Jon Rothstein: Patrick Ewing and Georgetown continue to be a factor in the Big East. Hoyas beat Butler at Hinkle Fieldhouse. This team gets better each and every week. Knowing the source, I'll take that compliment.

To be fair, I think they do it for every game. It's got to be nearly impossible, especially since to keep it spicy (you'll match a player a bunch of times over the years) they do the theme thing a lot.

I have seen the same done on many other boards a lot more successfully.
