Ouch. First Paul, now Isaac. That 2014 class was a disaster. I legitimately thought Isaac would be the next Georgetown great his freshman year. Now he's transferring mid-season. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up.

This program is an utter circus. Humiliating losses keep piling up and all the while we get a program shrouded in secrecy and misinformation. It's a pretty hopeless situation at the moment. And from everything I'm hearing from people in the know there is no chance anything changes at the top anytime soon or even in the relatively long term future. From what I hear even erosion of donor support would not make a difference. The administration is willing to ride this downward spiral right down the drain.

Wow! Saw this on casual: "Georgetown announces forward Isaac Copeland will transfer at the end of this semester."
Paul White and now Isaac... I hope LJ doesn't leave after the end of this season or Tre would be the only one left of that highly ranked class.

That seems about par for the course right now. It's hard for me to even be disappointed by anything from this team at this point.

Hate to lose him because the potential was so high. But haven't we spent the better part of the year berating him? This far this year he hasn't added much. So who knows how much effect this has. Wish him best of luck wherever he ends up. Hope he uses his time off to work on his defense and his shot and playing with energy, and rebounding, and passing. If he does he could make the NBA with his athleticism. I always felt like a lot of his struggles were mental so hopefully a change of scenery gets his head straight. While I'm being snarky I do really wish him well.
Doesn't really change my prognostications for this team as he wasn't contributing in a positive way so far this year.

When one of your best recruits transfers in the middle of the year, it just aint good. It's really not about the on court product. It's about the program.

I agree it's not a good look, but it was becoming pretty evident that both Akoy and Marcus were ahead of him on the depth chart (and rightfully so). I wish he would stay, but my guess is that he sees his window closing here, and he wants another chance to highlight his skills for the league.
Best of luck to him. Always felt like his best game was the BET loss to Xavier his freshman year where he was drillIng mid range jumpers all over the place

I hope wherever he ends up ends up working out for him. At this point, it'd be fairly amusing to see him go to a program with a good coach (you know, one that is the complete antithesis of JT3) and turn into the beast we thought he'd be.
Either way, with him or without him, this team and program are going nowhere.

This is what a program that's falling apart looks like.

Scholarships are valuable and a lot is invested in them, so when players leave, it is a big deal. I wish Isaac well, too. He is 20 years old and you can't fault someone for that decision. It just think it looks very bad for us. Oh well.

I finally got to watch the LaSalle game this morning and I kept thinking that the team could really use Copeland (and White for that matter). Ugg. Not at all liking where this season is headed.
