This team will respond. We played like crap against Nova, lessons are learned. We should have confidence that we can shut these guys down on defense. If Markel can stay out of foul trouble and be assertive, we will win going away.

The odds are against us playing for another championship this year despite how well we have played during most of the year. It simply takes some luck to get to the BET or NCAA championship game. Even if we get to one of those games, we likely won't be playing our arch rival. And we wouldn't be playing at home. Saturday is a tremendous opportunity to write history for the program. Go Hoyas.

I think I've about reached my limit with these primate cliches.
But as badly I wanted this title outright, I'll settle for a split if that's what it comes down to (after all, the first BE season ended in a 3-way tie for first). Just take care of business against Cuse. A season sweep would be just terrific. Mop the floor with them at home and send them packing to the ACC. I think our guys are mentally tough enough to move on from tonight's debacle quickly. Saturday will tell us for sure.
And we are all HUGE St. John's and Notre Dame fans this weekend. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little from saying that.

Any discussion of the Syracuse game has to start with an honest discussion, after last night, of where this team is and where it's going. You gotta love this team. Lose three leading scorers from last year and yet are on track to be co-champions of the BE. BUT, we have to be honest. This team, like all hoya teams since our final four appearance, is missing one major ingredient and last night once again displayed it. We need a powerful big man. A guy who can rebound, block shots, DRAW FOULS AND SCORE. In short we need Roy Hibbert. You put Roy on this team, or any of our teams since he left and we are BE champions and possibly final four material. Without him we are very good, maybe even BET champs but probably not better than elite 8 material. With him Syracuse would be toast Saturday. Without him we will bounce back from the Nova game and win but in a close game.

BE QUICK BUT DONT HURRY we werent quick ie we didnt move without the ball and pass quickly to avoid the traps and turnovers AND we DID HURRY yup thus the mulitple turnover about a third UNFORCED errors SO HOYAS BE QUICK AND DONT HURRY and you can play hoya bball and beat cuse YUP big game listen to the wizard of westwood. BE QUICK BUT DONT HURRY nuf said its CUSE go get em ;D ;D ;D
