Nova and Marquette will do their best, I'm sure, once the the first couple of years of BE Lovefest wears off. Maybe Butler as well -- if you've read their message boards, many of their fans are remarkably insular and arrogant.*
*yes, like us.

Random thought of the day now that the big SU/Gtown games are over, unless we meet again somehow in the NCAA tourney. Since my love for the Hoyas starting in the mid 80's I've enjoyed an SU loss as much as a Hoya win, no matter who they are playing, especially living in SU country. Now that Gtown and SU will be in different conferences, I'm starting to wonder will I really care as much. Initially, I'd say sure but few years down the road, will I really care if they go 0-12 or 12-0 in the ACC, I doubt it. Now starting to sink in that this rivalry is really going away unless we figure out a way to keep them on the schedule. I'll be left with just hating the Red Sox. It's going to take some years before we develop anything near the hate for a team in Big East 2.0 You may be able to preserve the hatred. I still love seeing Maryland lose, and I graduated from Georgetown in 1972. After all, hatred is eternal. ;D

If you grew up in Philly surrounded by Nova fans, you'd have a different opinion of them. I hate Nova just as much as Syracuse. I've met (gasp) decent, normal Syracuse fans. That doesn't exist with Nova.
