Well this certainly exceeded my expectations for the conflict that we couldn't get out of. Great game.

I would rather play SDSU. Well played, counselor. Or... Pay the man, Shirley, if you prefer.

Looks like all the OCC road games are at neutral sites. The next five OCC will probably be at the booth.

Got to give JT III credit for his approach to scheduling the OOC games. These quality opponents help the team develop. They give the kids national exposure. Recruits want to be on national television. Personally I would have preferred the SDSU game just to be able to see it here in SoCal, but Florida is a much better opponent. Although SDSU is going to be loaded again next year they do not have the national credibility of Florida.

Any one know if GU fans can get tickets, or are these events limited to sailors and Peter Berg?

PLEASE make sure our Crack Sports Information Department makes EVERY effort in regards to publicizing this game -- and to the On Air talent who will be working this game that we emphasize a KEY FACT!!!
These games are honoring VETERANS DAY.
Georgetown's Colors are BLUE and GRAY. That was determined in the late 1800's to honor both the North and the South, and as a symbol of our commitment to a reunited country.
It is a BIG PLUS from a PR point of view. Let's USE IT!!

Surprised hifigator has not chimed in yet. Strange that we should be playing another SEC team in our OOC schedule.

Awesome. Brutal and exciting ooc schedule for next year. Definitely expect 2/3 losses by conference time considering our youth but man we should be prepared/good by tourney time.

If this comes through, what a pre-conference schedule: Texas, Tennessee, Florida, and then two out of Indiana, UCLA and Georgia. I get that only one of them is at home, but the Garden, the new Brooklyn hoops center and a naval ship game - great for the program.

This is the type of ooc schedule JT3 will need if the Hoyas end up in a BBALL only league.

Actually, I heard the news right as I opened my store up this morning, and have been trying to come here since then. I had to reload NetZero and also find a "system restore" point for this ancient P(OS)C.
In any case, I'm definitely looking forward to it. I haven't had a chance to look into tickets yet, but am going to do so right now. I'll let you know if/when I find something out.

Let's hope that President Obama and President-elect Romney( ) go down to Florida to see the Washington-based Hoyas play.

Should be a great game. The ESPN article says it will be on board a Navy ship, but does not say aircraft carrier. Since there are no carriers homeported at Mayport, this would have to be a visiting carrier or possibly an amphibious assault ship. I don't think anything else would be big enough for a court plus spectators.
