Great stuff! I think it's safe to say we should not expect our sixth straight 10-1 start to the season with this out of conference schedule... but who knows, that kind of start with these opponents would be even more impressive! All I know is that if we win this game, we're going to the Final Four. If we lose? Maybe we'll get a call from the CBI, but it's doubtful. (Also, please say no to camo unis. Those things are hideous and not at all an "homage." I may have already mentioned this when the SDSU game was rumored, but I am mostly senile. Besides, it's worth repeating). "mostly"??

Anyone have any news from Georgetown sources? That's pretty funny. Nice one.

4,000 to 5,000? That seems like a lot. How many people attended last year's game?

4,000 to 5,000? That seems like a lot. How many people attended last year's game? 8,111 for last years in SD. So seems like half will be public and other half will be military?

I would love to attend the game. It's been my experience that most seats are sold before Georgetown make tickets available to fans. I appreciate Kim Frank for always assisting me with tickets if possible..... Perhaps this time Georgetown fans will out number Florida fans.

Perhaps this time Georgetown fans will out number Florida fans. Umm, no chance of that happening. You realize we're playing Florida? In Jacksonville?

I appreciate Kim Frank for always assisting me with tickets if possible Ummm...she hasn't worked in the Ticket Office for at least five years. I seem to recall the number of general public tix for last year's game was essentially zero. Both UNC and MSU had extremely limited allotments that probably went to the types who could fly their private choppers onto the flight deck. In any case, even a few thousand general public tickets is decent. Just be prepared that they'll be expensive (esp. if packaged with an NFL ticket) and UF's fan base is close to home and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay the heck bigger and more feisty than ours. But hey, they're saying there's a chance.

tHIS IS gEORGETOWN, THE TEAM WHOSE FANS DON'T TRAVEL WELL. If you are a donor over $2500, you can get tickets to the game. I have never not been able to get tickets for any Georgetown away game from Steve.

When Kim Frank worked in the ticket office she was very accomodating..... Unfortunally I am not like the Kentucky and Alabama fans that travel with wallet in hand willing to pay whatever for tickets.

Should be a great game. The ESPN article says it will be on board a Navy ship, but does not say aircraft carrier. Since there are no carriers homeported at Mayport, this would have to be a visiting carrier or possibly an amphibious assault ship. I don't think anything else would be big enough for a court plus spectators. What about a sub - that would be interesting. There are carriers at Mayport I was on the Saratoga based out of Mayport lol...

Mayport's not nuclear capable. There hasn't been a carrier there since the JFK was decommissioned.

"Due to military rules and regulations on active bases, fans wishing to attend the basketball game are required to purchase a sponsorship package. These rules and regulations do not allow individual tickets to be sold for an event on a military base. Therefore in partnership with the Jaguars, fans must purchase a sponsorship package to include both games."Whoever it was at Georgetown who wrote that, or whoever it was in charge of the event who came up with that really should get a Pulitzer in B.S.
