Coach K and Boeheim are "buddies" and Adrian Autry is using his Takeover ties to get guys--Jerami Grant and now Gbinije. Won't effect Georgetown--he's sitting out this year and they are in ACC, so no big deal.

IU just added Kenny Johnson to the staff. Strong takeover ties. Crean making deft recruiting moves.

ride Broadus. I'd like to see a hungry, young, energetic guy with aau ties in the southwest/west to compliment Broadus' northeastern ties. III then becomes a true closer. Hunter has midwest roots so leave him there.
Honestly, I don't think III does anything since Broadus is back on the road.

DELETED - you would be well-served to re-acquaint yourself with this board rule:
3 Assistants are allowed to go on road with III--with current staff--it's operating as if they are on probation with a coach not allowed to be on road. DELETEDBroadus will do the same job he did before and Kirby did--so III's got him and Pops to lean on. MOD NOTE: Giving you the benefit of the doubt, you may not have seen this post in another thread on this board. Please read it.

Unless Virginia Tech blocks us, it would be worth giving Dorian Finney-Smith a call. Have always thought he would be a n absolute star in III's system, and I rarely think that about players.
I pretty much assumed he would be ODU bound, but his mother is saying that is not the case. The other two schools I would figure he'd consider (Florida and Louisville) don't have the scholarships.
Definitely worth a call.

Definitely worth a call. He's friends with Macklin, attended same HS as Macklin prior to his Hargrave year, and had zero interest in Georgetown in HS. I don't see this one happening-but would be happy if it did.

Jeff Borzello reporting we are one of his choices along with Florida, Marquette, and Iowa State Someone else posted that the list is Florida, Us, Memphis, and VCU. Little different but good that we're in both Would be interesting

If we get F-S, there's no Pollard, correct? And if we get F-S, he takes a scholly this year while he sits, and then nothing is freed up for 2013 (when Pollard could have conceivably-despite his camp's insistence-been a one & done), when we could really use a PG.
Schollies always work themselves out, I know.

Pollard family says 2 and done is likely and didn't like pressure of being 1 and done.
Finney Smith--would be a great addition if he's serious about it. Boo guys tend to list Georgetown out of friends with program angle--hell Troy Williams who stated a month ago "they don't fit my playing style" has listed them again. Florida doesn't surprise me seeing the Macklin angle with Finney Smith and Troy Williams listing them along with Louisville makes more sense for fit then Georgetown does.

Plus I think Florida was one of his finalists.. Florida, Odu, Vatech I believe. Needles to say he fits right in with what we have and what we do, would love to get him

We're probably not players but Va. Tech recruit Montrezl Harrell is supposed to be requesting his release as well. We weren't in his final 4 last time but he is a nice player.
