This long after the season you have to think it is more than just wins and losses - some disagreement over the direction or control of the program, resources, or something deeper going on.

This late, they may have to go the assistant route to fill the position. Any risk they'll look at Kirby?

Montrezl Harrell will be highly coveted if he asks for his release. Word is Greenberg's top players all were going to leave and AD did this to keep them around.

RDF you beat me to it about Harrell ..
Montrezl Harrell is #24(White) in the link provided of the Cap Classic. 6'7 215 PF from Tarboro , NC (Hargrave Military Academy)
ESPN #89
Strengths: We would all like to be as athletic and naturally strong as Harrell. The star player in a small town, he's learned how to carry a team and deal with the attention. Harrell's game is a mixture of explosiveness at the rim and perimeter ability that extends past mid-range.
Rivals #82
Montrezl Harrell of Virginia Tech is an explosive combo forward.
Scouts #72
Harrell is a beast mode power forward who is always going 100 mph to make things happen. He is strong, tough, and is a freak athlete which allows him to dominate opponents down low.His skill set on the outside needs to catch up with his physical abilities, but he is very productive despite the size limitation.

"Doh Doh" Finney-Smith. The kid plays alot like Otto and would be a perfect replacement if he were to go to the L after next year. Im not sure about academics but the kid is player......
He is from Portsmouth, Va and led IC Norcom to back to back state titles...........

If he opens things up, every program in America will be on Harrell.
He's a monster.

I'd bet Anthony Grant gets a look way before Kirby would.

I'd bet Anthony Grant gets a look way before Kirby would. That would be a real shame.

I would pass on Lyons if I were Georgetown...hope I linked this right... cincinnati.com/blogs/daugherty/2012/04/24/the-morning-line-424/Chris Mack made a large statement yesterday. Normally, when a player leaves a program, the coach will thank him for what he has done, wish him well and leave it at that. The XU coach went above and beyond. Mack said, “During our meeting expectations were outlined for his fifth and final season, areas in which I believe needed improvement. Mark did not recognize these expectations as being important and ultimately it was decided that a change of scenery would be in his best interest. I wish Mark well.”

Who's going to want to take a kid who can't take constructive criticism AND was involved in that brawl?

Would Duke allow that? Won't Cuse be in the ACC while Gbinije still has eligibility left?
