Has anyone paid attn to the number of kids transferring this season? There has to be at least 30 of them. Many are bigs, but most seem to be wings. There are some PG's as well. Tony Chenault is one of them. Liked him in AAU w/Team Final. Ended up at Wake Forest. Anyway, perhaps GU could pluck one of these transfers for '13 in case Noel or their desired PG falls through.

I would really like to show some interest in TJ McConnell (Duquesne)

you've seen him allen? break him down. I havent seen him play, but Bobby Bancroft, a local sports writer, said he would love to see him on Gtown or GMU (the teams he covers), so take that for whatever its worth. From the little i have heard, his talent is well above Duquense but not sure if its BE level.

I think he is BE Good, especially given a transfer year.
He has good size and would be a nice 'system' fit. Good defender, shoots it well. But also could be a play maker at guard. (Duquesne plays a 100MPH - comfortable being in transition/handling the ball). Pretty solid all around.

I don't think so, but as RDF pointed out to me the other day - Kenya Hunter is a Duquesne alum - so that's a possible connection if they were interested.

The amount of guys transferring is staggering--it's close to 250 right now--Jeff Goodman is coming out with a list--and he said it's to point beyond anything he's seen and still more to come.

two cats intrigue me on that list: Miss St. Deville Smith and Perris Blackwell from USF. Smith is a 6'1 pg who is ultra quick and Black is 6'9 240 big who was All-WCC. A big and point. Hmmm

According to rivals, there were a total of 304 transfers out of D-1 programs after the 2008 season (when we lost VMack and Rivers and gained Julian Vaughn). collegebasketball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=667122I didn't find a more recent version of this list.

Hmmm Anybody from USF would have to sit out two years, correct? If so, I think a transfer to Georgetown would be highly unlikely.

What about Smotrycz from Michigan? He would fit our new emphasis on length at 6'9, while also bringing some much needed outside shooting (Shot 43.5% from 3 this season) in the wake of Hollis's departure.

The point guard from Duquesne is nice. Looks like AZ is putting the full court press on dood..
