Michael Gbinije to Leave Duke Excerpts DURHAM, N.C. - Duke freshman Michael Gbinije will transfer out of the program, school officials announced on Monday.
"We wish Michael [Gbinije] the best of luck and we will support him through his impending transfer," said head coach Mike Krzyzewski. "He is a talented player with a solid future ahead of him."

Gbinije is a serious talent. I like Trawick and Bowen, but Gbinije is a better prospect. If he wanted to come I have no doubt JTIII would take him. Same with Rodney Hood. Can't see the Hoyas pursuing any other transfers.
I'd add that in a perfect world, the staff would be putting in a call with Josiah Turner. Bit of a headcase - but is very, very talented.

Gbinije? That's like 87 points in Scrabble. Is that what Godwin Owenje's name would be if he starting going by just one name? Robin Williams thinks this would be a good name for a movie.

People on this board act like we have 5 more scholarships when we really only have 2 (hopefully 1 and we land Devonta).

Hood would be my strong preference among transfer options. Would only go after Gbinije if Pollard commits elsewhere. Good news is we should know one way or another on Pollard soon enough.

Would happily take both Gbinije and Pollard. Scholly sitch always works out.

Somebody get me a Bud........ Coming to bat now for the Expos is Mark Grudze, uh Mark Grudze, uh Mark Grudzelazashiak. I probably have the last part wrong, but I remember seeing Harry totally butcher Mark G's name on TBS. He was one of a kind.

This has 0% chance of happening but really wish Georgetown would emerge as a potential suitor for Jordan Clarkson now (Tulsa) if Kirby has any Texas contacts. Pretty much what I'd imagine III would want in a guard for his system.

Pretty much what I'd imagine III would want in a guard for his system. How is it ok for schools to have the authority to limit what schools a kid can look at when he's transferring? (UPDATE: Tulsa will reportedly only allow Clarkson to talk to Vandy, Colorado and TCU.)collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/17/jordan-clarkson-leaving-tulsa-will-be-prize-for-some-school/

Maybe one reason: because we are setting up a home and home series with Duke
