What about Smotrycz from Michigan? He would fit our new emphasis on length at 6'9, while also bringing some much needed outside shooting (Shot 43.5% from 3 this season) in the wake of Hollis's departure. The first question is who is available for next season under the medical/close to home excuses allowed by the infallible NCAA.

The point guard from Duquesne is nice. Looks like AZ is putting the full court press on dood.. as should more schools. i saw him play in person this year and was wondering why in the world was he playing not only in the a10, but for the dukes

Willy Kouassi (Auburn transfer)..snippet from Rivals article: "Willy, of course, has a lot of interest," he began. "We've already heard from Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, LSU, UCF and a bunch more. Those are just the high majors there, a bunch of smaller schools have inquired about him, as well. originally did show interest: hoyatalk2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=recruit&action=display&thread=22304

When a player is released after a coaching change, do they still need to sit for a year? If the player is a HS senior who gets out of his commitment to a school -- prior to enrolling -- due to a coaching change, no need to sit. If a player is already a student at the school, they need to sit for a year (or usually 2 if the transfer is within the conference)... unless they come up with some creative excuse as Julian Vaughan did with GU -- e.g. illness in family, needed to be closer to home. Only exception I can think of to the latter is if a school gets probation or other serious sanctions from the NCAA. Sometimes students can transfer out without penalty.

STOP worrying about transfers. We are gonna be using all of our schollies with the signings of NOEL and POLLARD Look otto, we all want to be optimistic and hope and wish that we will get nerlens and devonta but we can't say for certain until april 11th so let's just keep out eyes open for good, proven players who may want to transfer. There's no harm in it.

Michael Gbinje appears to be transferring from Duke. Think we'll take a shot?

It's a shame the #25-ranked recruit in his class got lost in the Rivers/Plumlee/Curry shuffle at Duke. How many top recruits has Coach K lost to transfers? Is he showing them the door?

Or maybe he's not good enough to play for K. Be careful.
