Love the pull-ups. Form looks pretty good on the straight J as well.

Looks like Telep was talking to Calhoun again... twitter.com/#!/DaveTelep/status/106001169511481344 Recently I asked a college coach how many scholarships he had: "I'm in charge of recruiting. We've got 13."

If at the end of it all ...we ended up with a 2012 recruiting class of DSR, Upshaw and Bolden....i'd be happy with it. Any thoughts?

That would still be a good recruiting class. If we only end up with one commit out of DSR, Upshaw, and Warren, I think we're still alright to reload next year. We'd also then have a second schollie to pair up with Noels in '13. We're moving in the right direction.

Agreed with Bronx. I would not be at all pleased if, after all of the top 40 prospects we targeted, we ended up with those 3.

I WANT SUM RAHNDUM DOOD!
(and don't forget, this past year's Sum Rahndum Dood was Jabril Trawick and/or Otto Porter. Trawick was just about to pick G'town but was pretty unknown at this point in the season and Porter didn't even have a freaking post on the board until Sept. 27)

We need a pf who can score with his back to the basket and rebound combined with a quick, athletic point guard the most even more than Anderson.
But having said that if we end up with one top 25 kid it will be good. Willy Warren combined with Upstart and Anquan Bolden that would be great too.

Warren, Upshaw, and Bolden actually sounds great to me. Anything involving Warren works. Kids a stud. I like Upshaw too.

I think hoyas need another guard for this class, but I definitely can see them standing pat this year and waiting til '13 and grabbing Rysheed Jordan. I am a bird in the hand dude though.
'13 you have to take Troy, after that, including Noel, is up in there air. Btw, Noel told one of the writers today that Syracuse is on him the hardest right now.

I sense a rising level of nervousness and anxiety on the board. Board members constantly checking for new "news". Random tweets getting treated like Top Secret documents. Some already preparing for disappointment. Others revealing their Plan Bs for the 2012 class. OK, now just stop and think a minute. Imagine how it must be for JT3 and staff? However important we think these recruits are to us, they are vastly more important to those guys - whose jobs ultimately depend on these kinds of things. Would you prefer to be in their shoes? Gosh Saxa, when you put it like that... We have a very good freshman class now, and we'll be adding some excellent kids next year. We just don't know WHICH excellent kids. Is it February yet?!?!HOYA SAXA BOYS! and GIRLS!

Speaking of not guaranteed, three SJU recruits didn't qualify for this season: Amir Garrett (who may never suit up cause he's a baseball guy too), Jakaar Sampson and Norvel Pelle. This per SJU themselves.
blow.

they are not playing this year at all? All you been seeing is upsets in the basketball and ISH right It's like come on man This guy beat up Whittaker" "Dang, he caught Whittaker?" "Mmmmhmmm" "He caught Whittaker a long time ago" "Mike got touched" "Then Mike got touched by Holyfield" "Holyfield" "Yeah, word up" "Hey, Mike's -- Mike's gonna forfeit this fight" "He ain't fighting May 3rd" "He ain't fightin?" "Nope" "Whattup?" "talkin bout he -- what he, what he, what he did?" "Told them he cut his eye, in sparring" Speaking of not guaranteed, three SJU recruits didn't qualify for this season: Amir Garrett (who may never suit up cause he's a baseball guy too), Jakaar Sampson and Norvel Pelle. This per SJU themselves. blow.

I feel like you have to look at 2012 and 2013 in tandem. We're in with a lot of elite elite kids (Kyle Anderson, Devonta Pollard, TJ Warren, Troy Williams, Nerlens Noel, and Al Freeman). We need to get a couple of those kids. Frankly, I don't care which (which is why I won't be absolutely broken up if we don't land Kyle), but I want 2 of them. There are preferences (read: Noel), but any 2 of them and we've got a squad, given our current guys.
From there, if we add on a few additional very good recruits (DSR, Upshaw, Britt, Jordan, Ennis, Meeks, Domingo) we're in serious business. But we need some of those top kids to drop.
