Since the month--starting tomorrow is opening of evaluation period where coaches can watch prospects play in AAU events, thought we could start a thread for this month alone. That way every little update didn't have to be put in player profile. Once period ends, info on prospects can go back in the player threads.
MOD NOTE: I added the year in case this becomes an annual thing. Feel free to add a link to the individual players' current thread when you post so readers can find that easily.

Mentioned this on HR too-but III's also likely there to see Robert Upshaw of Dreamvision--who is currently a 6'11 Center and has been told he could grow into being a 7'4 center. Upshaw is extremely skilled--watched him make three to four 3pt shots last Summer and all that was holding him back was his conditioning. Upshaw has gone from 30% body fat to 13 this Summer and still working hard. Has a lot of talent/skill.
Also on Dreamvision--Xavier Johnson--who has Hoyas in his final 5--but is more then likely staying out West.
Dreamvision will be playing against Andre Drummond's team and Atlanta Celtics who have added Brennan Greene and Tony Parker for rest of the Summer.
*Greene will be playing with Celtics 16U team in backcourt with Solomon Poole.

RDF, (without looking) what class is Upshaw? Seven-footer with poor conditioning...hmmm... sounds familiar.
Since this will be multi-class thread, may I suggest the player's class be included next the player's name here?

Heard JTIII was watching DC Assault today which Kenny Britt and Jordan Goodman play with.

I'm sure you mean "NATE Britt" .. Kenny is the NFL WR for the Titans that's about to flush his career down the drain if he keeps hanging out with the same crowd from his old hood.

III made his way to Lebron Camp this morning/will spend his time there. Kyle Anderson, Nerlens Noel, TJ Warren, etc.....all there.
Brennan was watching Myles Davis earlier today. Davis is '12 teammate of Kyle Anderson on NJ Playaz.
Hoyas had coaches watching Wanna Bail and his AAU team today. Love that name! Bail is class of '12.
A new name to talk about and had breakout performance at Reebok Camp, '13 PG Rysheed Jordan from Philly. He's going to take an unofficial to Georgetown this Summer and everyone expects his recruitment to blow up after his performance this week. Got John Wall's attention, so might as well let him come up and run pickup against John. LOL
Hoyas mentioned heavily with '13 Austin Colbert of St. Patricks. He's already visited for MM this past year.
Harrison Twins mentioned Georgetown as being one of their finalists--both are '13 recruits and have taken unofficials to Georgetown-and Maryland is also heavily involved/might be in better position of the local schools in DMV---also recruiting Shaquille Cleare who is '12 and has been linked to Terps.
Nate Britt repeated that Georgetown has been recruiting him hardest-but don't mistake that for being a favorite.
Hoyas mentioned with '14 Philly Roman Catholic combo gaurd Shep Garner.
Things will pickup this afternoon/night with Lebron Camp.

Thanks for the info! John Wall and KD could be indirect recruiters for GU. Are the twins a packaged deal?

Sounds like JTIII is on Kyle Anderson's trail right now: twitter.com/#!/AdamZagoria/status/89083329617469441 Have a feeling Nate Britt recruitment will play out similar to Quinn Cook's. Have been told that Assault doesn't want Britt on Georgetown and despite the nice words we don't have a chance.

III was also seen at Nerlens Noel's games at Lebron. TJ Warren's games, and several others who are on the radar.
Dakari Johnson is listing Georgetown in top 3 right now with Cuse and Kentucky but says Cuse is on him the hardest and likes their "tradition of putting big men in the NBA". Does he have his Big East teams confused? Maybe he wants to be a big man poet like Etan Thomas?
Brennan watched Davon Reed and Geno Thorpe play today at the event he was assigned to.

I know the month has barely started by this effort is why we love JTIII. The good news about him is that he is not a one dimensional coach. He is more then just the P-town. He is a hard worker and puts in the leg work, be it in recruiting or improving his team. Keep it up Coach! Hopefully it will transition onto the court for us.

One can only imagine how amazing our late 1980s and early 1990s teams would have been if JTIII's father had put in one tenth of the effort of his son on the recruiting trail.

Have been told that Assault doesn't want Britt on Georgetown and despite the nice words we don't have a chance. I hear there's a a good chance Britt switches over to team takeover. If he does that would certainly help. And for the Person who asked the twins are a package deal from what I hear. Jordan from philly is a tall PG 6'4 6'5. Definitely blowing up.
