Vee is the only one that I see, that actually feeds the post on a consistent basis. That;s going to be key gioing forward as our incoming big men get more experience. I think JT3 is grooming Nate into a point forward ala Jeff Green and Jerelle is turning into a JYD and Don Reid reincarnate right before our eyes.
Bring Vee along slow, I love his game. He's got a nice jumper and a serious floater once he breaks down the defense and gets into the lane. Everything can't be three's or layups, you need that in between game to break the opponents scorjing streaks.

Markel and Nate constantly look to do it. If I had to pick, I would pick Markel as the best passer in the coming years in that regard with Vee a close second.

As some of you on here may remember, I have often been very vocal about kids transferring from Georgetown and how much I hate when they do it. I think that it is equivalent to breaking a commitment that the players make to the program and that the program makes to them.
That being said, if Vee bounced after this year, I couldn't say a word about it. JTIII has shown an absurd, irrational, borderline crazy unwillingness to play this kid no matter how good he looks when he's on the floor or how bad our other guards look. At this point, I really feel like the program is cheating him out of the opportunity to perform and to help the team win.

There is no excuse for why Vee did not get more time in the 1st half. Who exactly was lighting it up for us? Not our guards. Vee should have been allowed to play a fairly long stretch there, it was obvious Austin and JC were just not that into it early on, which is in itself inexcusable.

Im with you strummer. I think JT3 is just stubborn. Its the only explanation, because I know JT3 is NOT stupid and I also know Vee can Ball. Interesting..

The kid has showed so much promise offensively and I think he's a better defender than Clark.
Clark did improve offensively today looking to drive more than shoot crazy 3s, but he struggled again defensively.

Vee has been consistent on both ends of the floor in every game this season. It is a crime he doesn't get more minutes.

I usually trust the staff on these things, but it is mindboggling that Vee did not get more play tonight. Jason was a liability on both ends for much of the night, and Austin was even worse. If those 2 can't snap out of their slumps, Coach needs to be less stubborn and let Vee play.

Agree with all of you on this. I don't get it. Even Starks gets more minutes and he's not nearly as good at this point.

The only explanation I can think of for why Vee doesn't play more is that something must be up off the court. Otherwise, it is a crime that Sanford's not playing more. He does something positive pretty much every time he's in the game and defensively he might be the best perimeter option we have against quick opponents.

Welcome to the club boys--been saying this since last year. You'll get the haters telling you what Vee can't do--which is hilarious since his sample size is so small and filled with positives that it's embarrasingly obvious they just dont' care for him as a person.

I think Coach gets a little set in his ways, trusting and relying on the upperclassmen, not the first coach to do that;however I also believe that with the recent inconsistencies in play by the "Big 3" and Vee's contrast in consistency, we will see more of Vee in the near future. He needs to develop some strength for conference play, but everything else screams for more PT.

Did Vee get any meaningful game minutes today? I was watching the game but might have missed a minute here or there..

Times like this I wish Barker was still around because he'd ask why Vee DNP - I don't think we get one post-game quote on that.

May also be a factor that Vee did not look very good against Pitt and may have lost a little trust.

May also be a factor that Vee did not look very good against Pitt and may have lost a little trust. Please, Benimon has not had a good game all year and he gets minutes. Vee did not look sick, but there has to be some off the court issues(illness, books, decipline, etc.) going on.
