Hope this isn't a harbinger of things to come, but it is not a good start. Not chicken littl'ing but it isn't reassuring when they guy you've been on longest shuns you for one of your biggest rivals.
Can't say I feel very confident about any of our top 50-60 targets.

This is not sour grapes as Bronxie has said this before on this page. I saw him play against Kyrie Irvin's squad live and I was not impressed. I did not see anything special there. Sure he could improve but as of right now I am not upset about this.

Let him go... we don't need him. Let him be another underachieving nova guard who doesn't get drafted or if he does rides pine for 2/3 years before he's cut

Really don't see a need for a 2011 pg.

Really don't see a need for a 2011 pg. I disagree Harwood. The team needs to have a fourth guard on the roster in 2011 for depth and maybe more importantly to learn the system. If the staff went without another guard in 2011 then they'd only have two guards with experience in the system going into the 2012 season and to me that's not a good option.

I can personally understand why a guard would be more attracted to playing at Nova over GTown. Especially a 17/18 yr old. To be honest we dont have a bunch of PGs or SGs in the NBA. Actually last year was the first time in a long time that if I was a guard recruit I would be excited about playing in GTown's system. Let's just hope that we can get Bishop, Rak, and or a SF recruit to commit. The 3, 4, and 5 positions are the spots that we can sit a recruit down and say, "not only will we get you there but you will be ready to play"....................

We don't need a straight PG with Markel and Vee around but another SG/Combo Guard would be nice. As someone else said...comeon down Bishop Daniels. We don't need you to run the point...just attack the basket when you get the ball...interesting to see what coach would do with the Princeton Offense passing with a driving guard!

The minute Montrose was mentioned as an option for him--he was NOT coming to Georgetown. Nova benefitted from this from day it was a possibility.

I think that the fact that we have successfully recruited exactly no one from Montrose since Drew Hall and Tony Bethel says enough about Georgetown's relationship with the school.
Prior to that, we had a good relationship with Coach Vetter. In fact, Vetter even coached JTIII's brother Ronny in his Flint Hill days.
That said, although I would like access to the talent that is always there, I don't feel bad about not being in bed with Vetter. The number of schools, and kids, he has ruined is embarrassing.

This thread needs a lock. TJ's not reopening his recruitment.
