he is a below the rim type player though, not a fan of that, rather have a kid with some lift, even if he has less skills. Checking out that video I see what you mean about him playing below the rim. I wonder how much that would change if he shed some weight?

I was thinking the same thing -- you can play below the rim when you are a big 6'10 if you work really really hard and develop great moves and a soft touch like Samhan has.

No one is saying you can't succeed if you play below the rim, but if I had the choice I'd rather take someone a little more raw that plays above the rim.
That being said, I think Walker could be a nice fit.

I am only basing this on youtube videos, so take it with a grain of slat, but wow - this guy just looks like a really good basketball player. He looks way, way better than Moses in my opinion.
Great size, great touch, good passes, good hands, good fundamentals for a big man... I like everything I see.
For anybody who hasn't watched already, here are couple youtube videos that show him:

He's definitely polished based on the videos I've seen. He'd be a good 'get' for the Hoyas.

He has great skills for our offense, its just defensively, Do you see this guy playing our switching style, and able to recover??? I mean not to say anything about defense since our team played none versus Ohio.

Haha, yeah unfortunately these youtube videos are so offense-focused that it's almost impossible to tell how good people are at defense by watching them. The only defense clips you tend to get are blocked shots, and blocking shots in high school just isn't that hard when you are so big.
Would love to see more comments about defense from those who have seen Walker (and Moses) in-person.

seems like a regret if a not get; lock him up...Mike Sweetney * Dajuan Blair. He's not a slowpoke. I'll take a mismatch in any size shape or form if there's talent.

It's hard to project what he would play like if he lost that weight.

Yeah I'm starting to come around. I'd be very happy if we could get him in a Hoya uniform.

Not sure it matters anymore, but Walker is taking an official visit to Minnesota on April 9. Interestingly, he still lists the Hoyas along with Rutgers, Seton Hall, UCONN, Pitt, Virginia, Marquette, Providence, Penn State and Minnesota. He said he's been offered by all of those schools on his list except Georgetown and UCONN.
Might he get an offer if Monroe leaves early?

I think our class is complete whether Monroe returns or not.

If walker is goign to become the brian williams we're saw in the NCAAs he's going to have to drop a lot of weight like brian did.

I think our class is complete whether Monroe returns or not. We're losing 3 guys after next year, so having as many guys who can play, with a year of experience, would be important going forward - if the guy can play as many of you seem to think.
