Gosh I think you missed the fact that on3's ranking is significantly lower than the industry standard of 75

Could I interest you in a shooting guard that has shot over 40% from three for both of the last two years in conference (while playing for a major conference team)? tinyurl.com/msf4wkuvHow many of those threes were meaningful for teams that went 7-25 and 14-17 while he played for them? Lot of garbage time buckets for Jay, not a lot of winning... Every bucket of our season was a garbage time bucket.

**PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: ALL INFORMATION I POST IN REGARDS TO RECRUITIING SHOULD BE REGARDED AS HEARSAY AND SPECULATION, NOT FACT. THANK YOU AND GO HOYAS.** In all seriousness, let me ask you this - the term "low-ball offer" normally means an offer at less than actual value in the hope that circumstances will leave the offeree with no choice but to accept - is that what your source is claiming here? Or just that we make an initial offer but are "outbid" by others who may have more resources or a greater need at that position?

Not sure about the "made it clear" claim, I do think I recall you saying that AFTER the Dickinson "Georgetown or Maryland" claim was debunked. But I get it, from here on in I will read your posts with the knowledge they are based on info from someone who has not yet proven reliable to anyone but you.

This was a statement of fact. Not "I heard" or "I was told" or "the story is". You stated it as if you actually knew. And you don't. I like how you conveniently left this part out: So, um, yeah. I did NOT leave that out. I quoted your original post, which did not include the additional part that you added in a later post, after you had been called out. It was the original post, stating something as fact when you had no direct knowledge that it was fact, that I was criticizing. So , um, yeah.

Like I've said regarding others, we've been making lowball offers so players are exploring other options. IDK what is going on w/ our NIL $. This was a statement of fact. Not "I heard" or "I was told" or "the story is". You stated it as if you actually knew. And you don't.

Well there's no standard for sourcing or accuracy on message boards and most unaffiliated blogs. Unfortunately that's all we got. Of course there is no standard. Just don't present something as absolute fact when it is based on opinion, second hand information, etc. Yeah, I know, I'm an old timer who expects too much from social media. Now you kids get the heck off my lawn. I'm keeping your baseball.

You were also told that Dickinson was between Georgetown and Maryland. We know what time told us about that "fact". And at the time, I believe that was 100% accurate. That was before other teams got involved. Exactly. The problem is that you state these things as absolute facts. But you didn't know that it was accurate. Just like you don't know that we have been making "low-ball offers". Somebody told you that. They weren't right about Dickinson. And may very well not be right here.

Really? You don't think the player tells the other teams exactly what he has been offered?? I'm sure they do but if you're a program are you believing everything a kid says? Good point.

Sounds like it might belong in the Drew McKenna thread in the recruiting forum, but I'd be cool with you posting it in every thread. Where is this Drew McKenna thread of which you speak?

So it seems to me there is actually a disadvantage to bring the first in with an NIL offer, unless it is so huge that no one else will match it. If not, you are just "starting the bidding" and other programs can up the price AND claim that you do not really value the player. Even if you then up your offer, now you had clearly tried to cheap out on the first offer. If you really want a kid, wait out the competition and come in with the highest number. How does any team actually know what's being offered? I think this "bidding war" narrative has replaced the old "the bag" narrative... Really? You don't think the player tells the other teams exactly what he has been offered??

Kaiden Rice comp I get but it is super lazy. Rice would shoot some ridiculous shots. Massoud is more controlled in what I've seen. You're not the first person to call me "super lazy"! So I take it you're married?😄
