you still think losing this game was not a big deal??? Yeah, I do. (Still having the #1 seed will do that.)

DFW - a good chance we see them again on Friday in NYC - and now they know they can beat us, and so do we, especially the frshmen who played so poorly tonight. Then the #1 seed might not mean so much - but a win tonight, and a decent effort, would have.

We better come out hard on Saturday against UCONN and get the win. JT III got out coached tonight. Not good. They better get their stuff together.

I guarantee, if we see in the BET, we win by 20.
Please remember they were JACKED to play this game. No, we didn't accept the challenge tonight, but I really believe we're the better team. And the fact that they showed no class in winning should be etched into our brains.

Georgetown was a tired team and won't repeat this shooting next week. After last year's semifinal, they will tear the Orangemen apart.

I don't think JTIII got outcoached. His team just failed to show up. As I said earlier, not a single player brought even their B game, and some looked really bad. Part of that is on the coach, but it does not have anything to do with being outcoached.

HC,
How did III get outcoached tonight??? that's absurd. I don't recall him goind 4-whatever from three-point land.
We got outplayed, but to lay that on III is really reaching.

It seems, and I could be wrong, that the 2-3 zone that crybaby plays is the perfect antithesis of our offense. I pray, like everyone else here, that we see them again in NYC.

Agreed--this was a "old school" GU appearance---couldn't hit the side of the barn tonight. And it was especially heartwarming to see CheeseBob mouth "MF" over and over again in representing his august institution so well.......

How could you not put this on the coach? An inspiring speech was missing somewhere in there...

im sorry, im as upset as the next guy that we lost, but WAS NOT III's fault. our shots did not fall. and on most of them we were wide open. result of the 2-3 zone. thats not coaching as far as i can tell.

Maybe III didn't say enough for them to get Roy involved, but honestly I agree it wasn't his fault. We shot incredibly poorly, especially in the last 8 minutes, not just on threes, but on layups, fast breaks and open jumpers. It happens, not easy to watch, but it happens. Sometimes a coach just can't do anything but watch and try to adjust the best he can, and he couldn't. Not really his fault, no one could make a shot.

Someone revived the "a coach is a reflection of his team" thread from mid January that started when we were 11-5. The same holds true for a team that was 22-5 and now 22-6. And that both the coach and the team are still pretty damn good despite the way we played tonight.

You see Rivers get mugged there in the middle at the end? Where was security for the players? Typical.
