A note on zone defense... I know that the Hoyas rarely play a zone, but against Cincy I noticed that they played zone almost exclusively when Roy was out and Vernon was in. Against a team that's small (and a lot of teams are, relative to the Hoyas) doesn't it make more sense for JT3 to call a zone D when Roy is in, so he doesn't end up guarding the perimeter when the other team's tallest guy happens to be its best three point shooter?
I'm glad Roy was able to get into the flow of this game and play well on both sides of the floor even though he didn't really match up defensively against any of the Cincy players. I'd be interested to see how the defense would look in a 2-3 with Roy in the middle.

With the success we've had lately I'll take III's game plan over any of the wannabe coaches on this board.

Difference is I don't nitpick ONLY when the team is faltering. Even when there's success I still wonder if there are aspects in which the team can improve upon. I guess I must have some nerve to even suggest that the Hoyas could possibly fare better by having the big men take more shots in the paint. To each his own.
