With JTIII's success on the court to date and the multi-year recruiting amazing results, methinks we're talking a dynasty. Easy there ed. ;D We still got to take it one day at a time. But you are right, we are slowly building towards one. Everytime I turn around, they are signing recruits. I just throw my hands up. I can't even keep track anymore. ;D Local area and DEMATHA recruits. This is great. Everything we have longed for the last decade of this program is starting to happen. I'm in utter amazement. Its great!!

Phenomenal news. I never expected this so soon. Practically fell out of my chair when I saw this thread.

This is almost like having too much candy! I could not believe it when I checked the message board today. I always envied those programs which could continuously bring in top talent ....and now GU is becoming one of them.

As a fan when you start to calculate the best chance for a national championship is...and you find positives for the upcoming season and the three after that then you know you're in a good place. When your program does excel year after year the players get better from A) intense competition in practice B) getting opponents best shot every time out C) deep postseason runs.
IMO Roy Hibbert's continued progress is a big factor in determining if the FEAR of Georgetown is back. If Roy is as good as we think this year the Hoyas can def reach the Final Four. What about the guards? Once the ball is advanced over half court Jeff is OUR point guard in many ways. He makes great decisions, passes well and can hit the three. Wallace is nails tough and smart and I like Sapp's aggression. If Summers or Ewing can step in and do some damage this year's team is special.

Amazing... let's wrap up Clark and worry about the scholarship questions later... no need to worry about schollies with them, Clark and Braswell are both '08.

I wonder what some of the more silent members (read: vocal Eshoholics) of the message board have to say about this one. I mean... We've just hauled 2 of the best players in the area right now, and nary a word...

Jersey, is there any need for this? Come on man, just delete that crap and let's focus on the positive.

I am focusing on the positive and trying to get others to do the same. Indeed, you may note that one member of the board took the opportunity after Wright committed to discuss how the decline of GU basketball really began under JT2's tenure.
Well, we're back.
BTW, one benefit of having a message board is that people are free to express their opinions/thoughts. If you think it is crap, fine, but crap is not grounds for deletion, as many of hifigator's posts (or even some of your semi-coherent rants) can attest.

It should be grounds for deletion, what's the point of bringing up Esh? Whatever though, keep on beating the dead horse.

I'm with '07 on this one. To borrow a line from one of the notable posters of the past, such talk is irrelevant to current events.
As to "silent members" on the board, a significant number of the 2300 registered posters simply don't post very often, including many members of the 2002-04 era who chose to stop posting soon thereafter. However, any claim that silence by these posters indicates some tacit opinion either way on issues doesn't hold water.

We've just hauled 2 of the best players in the area right now, and nary a word... They will never learn, Jersey. For one reason or another, they have decided that fealty to Esherick is more important than fealty to this basketball program. They will edit your signature if they find it even the least bit critical of Esherick. They have become comfortably numb. I just hope that they realize the error of their ways in time to enjoy the next decade of Georgetown basketball and the multiple national titles it will bring.

I wonder what some of the more silent members (read: vocal Eshoholics) of the message board have to say about this one. I'm sure having verbals from guys named Braswell and Freeman is giving them a sense of nostalgia...what do you want to hear exactly? Don't be a downer man...and try to make sense next time, I can't for the life of me figure out who you're calling out. Leave the Esherick talk for Halloween costume planning, mmmkay?

It was directed at "some of the silent members." Methinks they need no introduction, and they know who they are, wordsmithing notwithstanding. I'm not talking about Esherick. I'm talking about a select group's lack of discussion of this positive news. In the wake of the Wright commitment, we had the oft-discussed topic of how the decline began under JT2. Is that not a dead horse?

I'm not trying to damper any enthusiasm, believe me. I just wonder why there seems to be very little in some circles, where criticism of RT, JT2, and JT3 seems to be more extensive than in others.
