And even more awesome is that all those kids are basically local and the Verizon Center could, potentially, if the wind dies down and the moons align, you squint a smidge and we've got Karma in our pocket...be rockin'. So uhhhh...where's the fast forward button to the season? I can't wait 25 more days.

When JT II first came to Georgetown, he brought not only his 3 guys from St. Anthony's; but also a large number of local fans and St. Anthony's cheerleaders. Those cheerleaders rocked Mc D like never before. One of their cheers became a crowd favorite: WE GOT THE FEVAH, WE'RE HOT, WE CAN NOT BE STOPPED! [repeat and repeat and repeat...] Boy do I feel like that now. I will be rerunning that cheer in my head all day. It's a great life.

lic, the Hoyas beat Duke on my birthday, Jan. 21, this year. So if me, why not you? In absentia, I'll be drinking champagne at your birthday party.

Another Braswell and Freeman playing together. What happened to all the great Georgetown names?

This has been an amazing week beginning w/ CW and continuing with CB. Clearly JT3 has returned Georgetown to its correct status as THE place to play for local players. Even way out in Seattle, I'm hearing a lot of positive things said about the Hoyas. Having said this, I believe we should seize the momentum that has swung our way and really push to get some on campus facilities upgrades. I'm sure JT3 knows this, since I think he mentioned something during his Q&A discussion last week.
Again, fantastic week. JT3's been spoiling us. Let's hope it doesn't stop.

Oh please, YB... don't try and fool us by signing on under a different handle, we know its you. Either way, the university has bigger financial fish to fry right now (finishing MSF, B-school, getting the science building under way). And when it does get around to hoops, I hope they build a new weight room, practice facility, film room, etc. before they consider an on-campus arena. If III takes this thing where we all hope he is, Verizon is going to be one hell of a home court advantage even with the negatives (rent associated with it. Local boys, a nationally ranked winning team... the locals are going to start turning out in droves, especially when you can go to a game for next-to-nothing, compared to the Wizards, Capitals and Redskins. Let's not turn this into another USELESS facilities debate. Another Braswell, another Freeman, the Wright stuff... I've said it before and I'll say it again: III & Crew = pimp.

I say strike while the iron is hot. III and his staff are recruiting genii. Right now we can't afford to pay them a decent wage, and as a result we almost lost Broadus last summer.
Let's use this momentum to make the program financially viable. Why not now? Should we wait again when we lose all our advantages and it's much tougher to raise money?
Now is the time to set up the program for years to come. Let's get 'er done. New on-campus CC, serving as a practice facility/Part time court.

I'm sure someone can answer this question, but after reading about Braswell's commit, I realized that JT3 has now signed at least one McD AA (most likely) in three classes in a row. Have the Hoyas ever done something like that before?

In my defense, I'd just like to cite that I suggested 'on campus facilities upgrades' and not an on-campus arena. That being said. Keep them coming III & Crew!

Have the Hoyas ever done something like that before? Yes, in 1986-1988. Here is the list: Patrick Ewing - 1981 Anthony Jones - 1981 (transferred to UNLV) Reggie Williams - 1983 Dwayne Bryant - 1986 Mark Tillmon - 1986 Anthony Tucker - 1987 (transferred to Wake Forest) Alonzo Mourning - 1988 Othella Harrington - 1992 Duane Spencer - 1992 (transferred to LSU) Anthony Perry - 1997 Vernon Macklin - 2006

How fired up must UMD be right now? We are getting everyone under the sun and if we perform this year, Gtown is going to be a tough ticket to come by.

How fired up must UMD be right now? We are getting everyone under the sun and if we perform this year, Gtown is going to be a tough ticket to come by. At least on their Scout.com board, it looks like they're up to the normal "Georgetown is a fake black school," "the Hoyas are a bunch of Uncle Toms," "All these players have grade issues, so Maryland wouldn't want them," "Georgetown pays its players," comments.

With JTIII's success on the court to date and the multi-year recruiting amazing results, methinks we're talking a dynasty.
