6th place finisher in the SC was Estanis RUIZ from my 2nd favorite school, the University of Portland (my son's alma mater). He is from Pamplona, Spain and probably trains there running with the bulls.

Melissa 4th! 4:08.74
Maya Ramsden of Harvard ripped the race open with 500m to go. Melissa stayed patient while other favorites chased, and ran an excellent last 250m to move up throughout the end stages of the race.
Congratulations to Melissa on a great race and another All American designation!

Great run by Melissa. And I heard that she wasn't feeling that great. Last lap 1:00.95.

Out of three runners who have raced so far, we have 2 first team All Americans (Riggins, Scrimgeour) and a 2nd team All American (Donahue). And Chloe S. still has the 5,000 in a couple of hours.

She is the first Amerian All American in the race. 1,2 are from New Zealand, and 3rd from Poland.

Dwight Stones was being kind of a dick about the HJer Glenn from Arkansas. I know it was his event, but dude needs to chill and go back to mixing up lane assignments and declaring incorrect relay champions (see 4x100m, last night).

More non-Hoyas NCAA commentary: Arkansas just went 1-4 in the 400m, and all 4 runners were under 50 seconds. Incredible result; even moreso because it wasn't *that* much of a shock.

That was a strangely paced race, and Chloe ended up not finishing.
She had an incredible year, congratulations to Chloe!

A lot of meters in her legs, but as you just said, what a wonderful year she has had, her results speak for themselves!

I think she was still feeling the 100000m in her legs.
