3 laps to go, Parker is in ~5th in a tight lead pack. Almost entire field is in one pack.

Mountain (UVA) and EKU kid picked it up on that lap to string out the field. Parker is 4th midway through second to last lap, looking comfortable.

That was an incredible last 2 laps for Parker. He stayed comfortable in the lead pack, kept his powder dry, then launched out of the last water jump and passed Mountain at the last hurdle. 8:24.58!
CONGRATULATIONS, PARKER! HOYA SAXA!

A wonderful way to finish his career! That was really the first coherent thought I had after he crossed the line. So happy for him to be able to wrap up a great career in this fashion.

In a result that has Hoya interests is the 5000m
1 Parker WOLFE North Carolina [JR] 13:54.43 2 Nico YOUNG Northern Arizona [JR] 13:54.65
Of course, the coaches of these runners are Chris Miltenberg of UNC and Mike Smith of NAU, both Georgetown grads.

This was the meet of the Parkers: Parker Wolfe of UNC, who above won the 5000m, Parker Valby, who won the 10000m and is the favorite to win the 5000m, and our own Parker Stokes.

The men finished tied for 32nd at the NCAA final meet. They were the first placing Big East team: With 10 points, Georgetown was the top school from the BIG EAST Conference. Villanova finished tied for 52nd with four points, followed by Butler (T66th, 1 point) and UConn (no team score).
UConn dominates the BE meet, but did not score in the NCAAs.
