Aw, birdman, you are mixing up Chloe S. and Melissa. You will be able to cheer Chloe in about two hours. And I was not only looking at the name on the screen, the entry list, but the final results to doublecheck her final finish and time. Apologies to Melissa. It has been a long workday with EndFY. Also, as always, I am an idiot.

That is something I would do, but I would claim a senior moment. You are excused birdman.

The great thing about the meet being on ESPN2 is getting to experience all the great commercials. I will definitely be dining at Golden Corral after the not-annoying "carrrrrrrrrne asada" commercial. Then I'll go home and order some Papa John's pizza based on their horrific commercial describing their pizza as "juicy" which... isn't what pizza is supposed to be. And after all that, well, I'll just let my various rashes determine the course of my night, as the rest of the advertising has advised.
[Sorry I'm cranky]

Hey! Actual Chloe S. is in this women's 10k, along with Maggie Donahue.
This race is off to a dangerously slow start. Hope no one catches a heel. Go Hoyas!

It took barely two laps before the coverage broke away to interview the Mens Decathlon champ (who is a cool guy and I like him a lot BUT). How does "the worldwide leader in sports" not have split screen capabilities in coverage?

It's hard to tell from the broadcast's intermittent coverage of the actual race - which is usually Parker Valby-centric - but it looks like Chloe and Maggie are in the second pack with 15 laps to go.

I thought ESPN+ through Hulu might have continuous coverage (since they advertise the field events feed), but no. It's also on a commercial. This doesn't make sense, if you insist on holding rights to an event air the event.

Oh thank God we got an extended auto racing advert, before going to a long jump recap. Thank goodness we have to fill in the blanks about how the ongoing live event is going.

(sorry this isn't the forum, but this year's coverage has been outstandingly bad. At least I'm catching up to Nevada in # of posts.)

5 Chloe SCRIMGEOUR Georgetown [JR] 32:29.44 PB A great race by Chloe. She was tired of finishing 8th. Since it is a PB, must be a Georgetown record.

10 Maggie DONAHUE Georgetown [SR] 33:13.13
Great finish by Maggie. At least a first team All-American from Chloe and at least a 2nd All-American to Maggie.

If Chloe had the last 400 split time as Maggie, she would have been 4th.

What a wonderful way for Maggie to finish her Georgetown career, an All-American one more time, she has been the standard bearer for the women's program. And I could not be happier for Chloe S. who has been steady as a rock all year; she adds another first team All American honor to her already impressive list.
