Pitino with horrible end of game execution Can’t believe he (Pitino) missed all those FT’s! Well Cooley apparently misses all those 3s and defensive assignments if you ask the people on here, right?

You wanna know why Pitino would have been a better hire? Kadary Richmond transferred from Seton Hall to St John’s. Richmond is one of the best players in the BE. Do you think he ever considered coming to GU and Cooley? Pitino is a stud coach who kids will want to play for. He will put St John’s on the map and even if he leaves in 2-3years the program will have turned around.

St John's was in a competitive, super entertaining neutral site game featuring two ranked teams. It's hard to imagine Georgetown in such a situation. The last time they were in a game like that was under Ewing vs Duke although the Hoyas weren't ranked. The program imploded about a week later and has yet to recover.

Nice win for Seton Hall over VCU in an absolute mud fight. I watched some of that game, and it was a rock fight for both teams. Seton Hall made some plays and some tough shots at the end of the game to find a way to pull it out, but they are going to struggle on offense all year. Give them credit for the hard nosed defense they play, but they are very limited in the ways they can score. They had a kid last night (can't recall his name) who made three really tough and timely 3 point shots. Not sure they can count on that moving forward because the announcers said that player had only taken two 3 point shots for the season before last night!!!

SJU blows 18 point lead, loses in double OT, two missed FTs while leading 98-96 and Baylor hits a 3 to win 99-98. That was a really tough loss for St John's last night. The end of game execution should have been better for St J's, but give both teams credit for playing really hard for the entire game. Those were two athletic and talented teams that are both going to have good years. It will be a little interesting to see how St John's bounces back from a loss like that. It reminded me of the Hoyas loss to TCU last year, and that did not turn out well for the Hoyas!!!

I thought Baylor played foolishly in the first half, turnovers, bad shots to dig themselves into a hole.

But hey I think that decision comes with a price and the Kidary Richmond transfer says a lot about Cooley v. Pitino's ability to attract quality players and sadly our ability to become relevant in the future.

First, we all agree a coaching change was needed, Cooley wasn’t my first choice but we got someone who wins, teams were ALWAYS respected and was a national coach of the year a few years back. Why don’t we give it a little time, relax!!!

And did I see it correctly the other night, the announcer for our game played at Providence, his record against Georgetown 8-0

We all know this assist rate will drop once they start playing higher competition but it's obvious a system is in place offensively for their program.

Seton Hall is getting blitzed by Vandy right now, down 16 late in the 2nd half...
Their offense is horrible, I'm a Holloway fan but he has to stop saying that he lets his team "play" on offense as long as they give effort on defense.
