Well we could lose every conference game and our first round BET game.
Nah, never happen.

Ole Miss. St John's. Pitt. All already declined NIT bids. Going to be a common theme for High majors.
Bigger advantage to start recruiting the portal then preparing a team likely to lose half its roster for NIT games.

I truly have no idea what to expect here. Rumors of $4-5MM budget for Cooley and Mark Fox to woo top transfers, but what will that yield? Judah Mintz, Dug McDaniel…Terrance Williams??? A bunch of guys from Providence, just to make their fans that much more psychotic? Our whole current team jumps into the portal again? Primo Spears brought back on a lavish new deal and an entire hotel room filled with candy?? Like any true (delusional) Hoya fan, I will be following closely with anticipation of an actually competitive team in 24-25, but no comedy of errors could surprise me at this point.

I believe that what we are witnessing is the start of an "Arms Race"; if everyone has $2M- $5M to spend on players, there is no guarantee that any school can buy the best players or assemble the best team by buying them. Players will get paid, with multiple players being "overpaid" relative to their performance. There is no guarantee that spending on NIL will produce more wins, but not spending on NIL will likely produce more losses - at least in the major conferences like the Big East. No matter what - when you sum up all the wins and losses across all teams in Div I bball - the winning percentage will still be .500.

The renegotiated to stay post. We will likely see a couple Hoyas do this.

Hopefully, we will have clarity on who is staying sooner than later.

But if they don't do this the rumor mills will continue to speculate about him, doing it this early is the opposite of self-importance. The theory that good players want to play with other good players is consistently talked about here so isn't what Buchanan did good for GW recruiting wise?

Every year is free agency with no long term deals. Crazy system.

Say goodbye to Hollywood! Seriously, best of luck to Wayne. Congratulations on joining the Georgetown alumni ranks! I always appreciated his hustle and toughness. I hope some of that attitude will be present in new additions to the 2024/25 roster. H4L.

I was looking at EvanMiya’s model breakdown of Georgetown, if you look at all 8 line-ups that had a positive Adj. Team Efficiency margin, Bristol was in 6 of them. Only Epps and Styles had more appearances.

Sorry to see Bristol go with his toughness on defense, hustle. good passing, and late season three shooting. He covered a lot of gaps the Hoyas had defensively. I wish him well and look forward to his last season and hope he makes the best of it.

Already 1 transfer and more than last likely 2-3 more. Nobody going to stay here. The school or students or community cares. This is not ever going to be better. No home stadium to play in says a lot. This team under Cooley didn’t even play defense. Inexcusable. Nobody can win here mark it down nobody can win here. It’s just irrelevant and no one give a damn about the basketball program. Just shut it down and forget it. Never change same garbage year after freaking year. Sick of this mess.
