Pardon me if I don't get too excited that a kid who will be entering 9th grade in the fall currently wants to come here.

Pardon me if I don't get too excited that a kid who will be entering 9th grade in the fall currently wants to come here. Yeah normally I'm not a negative Nancy but a 9th grade NC kid being excited about a GTown offer isn't a big deal. Until he makes these statements with a UNC and/or Duke offer on the table it doesn't mean much. IMO

CHIDI NWIGWE "ABOUT HIM: At 6-foot-6 Nwigwe doesn’t lack for length, and the freshman from New Jersey’s motor also looks to be elite. He’ll take the court for famed Bergen Catholic High School as a freshman this season, but he already has high-level experience having played 17u for the Riverside Hawks on the Under Armour circuit this summer. Nwigwe’s ability to score at the bucket and through traffic is his calling card so far, but he’s developing as both a shooter and a versatile defender. It's too early in his career to make any wild proclamations about what he may become, but his combination of size, ball-handling and scoring ability make him one to watch this season, to say the least. EARLY OFFERS: Illinois, LSU, Rutgers, Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure have already made things official. There’s plenty more in store for Nwigwe, however, as his name is making its way into the recruiting offices of additional high-major programs. Georgetown is involved but has yet to offer." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/i-ve-got-five-on-it-high-school-freshmen-to-watch

"Adam Oumiddoch is a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Woodbridge (Va.) who plays for Bishop O’Connell High School. He also plays AAU with Team Melo on the Nike EYBL circuit. COLLEGE ATTENTION Though he's only beginning his freshman year, Oumiddoch already has offers from Illinois, Memphis, Bryant, and Old Dominion. He also holds interest from Georgetown and LSU. WHY HE HAS OUR ATTENTION Adam has our attention through his play at this year’s Border League and Pangos All East Freshmen/Sophomore camp. What stands out the most with Oumiddoch is his natural ability to to score the ball from all three levels and the confidence he has at such a young age. He has good size at 6-foot-5 and is tracking to be one of the top 2026 prospects in the DMV." 247sports.com/college/memphis/Article/Basketball-recruiting-Adam-Oumiddoch-New-Jacks-Memphis-Illinois--197691875/

"It’s early in the recruitment of AJ Williams. Like, really early. The 2026 wing won’t sign a letter of intent until this time three years from now, but the 6-foot-7 prospect's name is already finding its way into the offices of high-major coaches. He holds early offers from both Mississippi State and Georgetown, and plays his high school ball for New Jersey-based powerhouse Bergen Catholic. ON GEORGETOWN “I’m getting to know more about the team and the play style. They let me know how the players get ready for games and the system as a whole. I liked everything they told me about it.” basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/introducing-2026-wing-aj-williams

"JORDAN SMITH HAS THE MAKINGS OF A MAJOR PROSPECT One of the tournament’s most pleasant surprises, Smith introduced himself to the national stage by impacting a game stocked with Division I players by turning in a six-point, nine-rebound effort off the bench and playing hard nosed defense on No. 1-ranked junior Tre Johnson, who he frustrated at times. The 6-foot 2, 185-pound Smith boasts a basketball IQ beyond his years and the frame of an upperclassmen. Smith also managed to look confident and assertive during crunch time of a high-level game. Smith’s defense and motor might be his calling card at this juncture, but his ball-handling skills and ability to get to his spots on the floor are also impressive as well. . Smith already holds offers from Kansas State, George Mason, Virginia Tech and Georgetown. According to his coach, however, a long list of high-major programs have expressed preliminary interest. There’s no doubt that the Washington D.C native has the upside of a major national prospect that should have a long list of offers by the time he hits his junior season. He’s likely to see his name when the initial rankings for 2026 release next summer." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/cassidy-s-takeaways-day-4-of-the-city-of-palms-classic

"A shifty play-maker, Livingston Jr. recently performed well at the prestigious City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers. Against IMG Academy Blue, he scored 13 points while dishing out five assists on 63 percent shooting from the field. His father, Randy Livingston, played collegiately at LSU and 11 seasons in the NBA from 1996-2007... “I am very thankful to currently have four offers from St. John’s, Michigan State, Georgetown and California. “I received my first offer from St. John’s in eighth grade. It was definitely a surreal feeling that my hard work is paying off and that I will have a chance to continue playing the sport I love at a higher level.” news.scorebooklive.com/florida/2023/01/11/prospect-profile-randy-rj-livingston-jr-westminster-academy
