Of the following names, I would challenge you to go to the websites of the teams of these players and look at their performance (starters, point, rebounds, assist, etc.) since leaving Georgetown and then tell me if you would still want these players on your team because you think they could get the job done. Keep in mind, that some of these guys have transferred multiple times since leaving Georgetown. They are probably playing against lesser competition than they were in the Big East. Antwan Walker, Josh LeBlanc Sr, Grayson Carter, Sibley, Galen Alexander... Hell also take a look at what T.J. Berger is doing. I am willing to bet that you would come back and say that maybe it was a good idea for these guys to transfer so that it open up scholarships for guys who can play. Funny that you left out James Akinjo, Mac McClung and Qudus Wahab. Carter should have never been recruited at this level. Alexander was a bad apple and was kicked out of LSU, should have never been recruited to Georgetown. Berger was a walk-on.

I wouldn’t mind 5-year Walker, soph Sibley and/or senior LeBlanc. Any of them would be our starting 4 or 5 this year. Now, we have to go with Freshmen Ryan, JB or Wilson*, soph Holloway and non-defender Rice. A 4-yr Berger might turn out to be a version of Rice.

Didn't realize he was referencing PFs - which TJ Berger certainly is not, nor is Galen Alexander (or Sibley, for that matter). Agreed on LeBlanc. He was my favorite player on the team his freshman year. Loved his hustle, defense and athleticism - seemed like a perfect compliment to Akinjo/McClung since he didn't need to have plays run for him to be successsful. What could have been...

He doesn't try to do to much and just plays his role really well which is refreshing in this me first generation of players. This is always reflected in his efficiency numbers. I thought he would have a better career than what has turned out but I would gladly take him as our starting PF right now. Walker would also be starting for us for sure. Sibley has already earned a starting role at UTEP after coming off the bench the first few games. I really am still not sure what happened with him here.

Bottom line... 90% of these dudes should probably never had been at Georgetown anyway and we should be happy that they are gone. Now we have a promising recruiting class in place. Let's get behind them and encourage them and the coach and stop doing our best job at tearing them and the program down. Please. Please. Please. That is our job. Let's let the President and AD do their jobs.

It’s really hard to say because we’ve seen so little of him, but I think Kobe Clark can play a big role going forward. We need rebounders, defenders and ball movers and he can do that. I’m really hoping he breaks into the rotation.

Jordan seems to be done for the year, Clark is still injured/MIA, & Big Tim has a couple of weeks to go.
The rotation doesn't have too many questions in it right now, except for the distribution.
Harris (30), Beard (20) Carey (30) Aminu (35), Holloway (20) Rice (25), Billingsley (10) Wilson (15), Mutombo (15)
Good starting point, I guess. Can swap in the big/small 5s as needed.
Beard, Holloway, and JBill (less so) have to build off recent success to become regular contributors.
If it tightens even more, JBill probably loses his minutes to Rice & the other bigs. Beard & Holloway probably down a tick too.

Do you have real info about Riley's injury? In any case, we probably were needing to shorten the rotation and Riley may have been odd man out even if not injured. With Beard playing some 2 along with Dante at 1, I think:
Harris 35, Aminu 35 Carey 30
HOT HAND (or player unavailability, like last night) determining everybody else's minutes, game to game. Hot hand, of course, also is partly determined by matchups.

There is no doubt the Dante and Aminu will need to play big minutes moving forward for the team to have success, but I would not ask these guys to average 35 minutes a game, especially in a conference as physical as the Big East. That is just tempting guys to at a minimum get worn down as the season goes along and to also risk injury. I don't have a problem with playing them those types of minutes on an occasion in certain games, but they need to be closer to 30 minutes a game average than 35 minutes.

Ewing on the players that were out: "Kaiden and Jalin Billingsley we should have back this weekend. That's our hope. Jordan Riley is going to have surgery on his shoulder. When the doctors tell me they're ready, they'll be ready...Kobe is still hurt."
