So how about a bump for one of last night's heroes, who seems kind of unsung. Some really big plays for Mr. Carey.

Carey is a good offensive weapon and looks to be getting more comfortable as the season wears on. I think he will prove to be a huge part of this team over the next few weeks and may be their best offensive weapon on the wing next season. He was a great pick up for the program and having two years of him is huge.

He's a career 37.6% 3pt shooter and last year shot 38.2%
When we played Mount Saint Mary's, he had 2 3pts, 14 points and six assits for them.

Huge game from Don. Impressed with his work in the press break too, didnt know he had that in his game.

He has played well the last two. He capably handled ballhandling duties last night which I wasn't sure he could do. If he keeps playing within his game he will be good. He is too slow to drive and picked up charges in the other games when trying to do that. He also double dribbled on that game winner but I'll take it!

I think he can be a real positive for the team if he plays confidently and can avoid TOs. It gives us 3 perimeter shooters when J Harris is in the game and 4 when D Harris is playing. Also would enable the Hoyas to use Bile with either Wahab or Tim without surrendering too much offense.

I like Carey a lot, he’s like a quiet assassin. Does he have another year of eligibility?

I wouldn't mind Carey for another season if Gtown fails at getting Aminu. But if Aminu does commit to us Carey is the guy I see who could open up scholarship space since he is a graduate student which pretty much makes him a free agent. If Aminu suits up for the Hoyas he would be playing Carey's position anyway.

Donald brings the type of “grown up” attitude and play that one would want and expect from a grad transfer.

Bring Don back. With a bunch of young guns his steadying influence & ability to do a bit of everything would be invaluable.
I like his game a lot. Don Carey is a WINNING basketball player.

He's been everything I'd hoped he be to this point. Very steady player.
My one minor beef is he's been a little too deferential/tentative at the offensive end at times. He wasn't last night -- converted on a couple of really tough drives.
The Nova game (all 6 shots from 3) and before, he wasn't as aggressive. Can't get lost out on the perimeter.
But overall -- solid on both ends.

He showed some onions bailing out Blair at the end of regulation.

But now that he took over in the heat of the battle I think the other players will be looking to him to lead and produce.

His comments sound like a leader. He says the freshmen look to him and listen to him. I think he should be a little more assertive with his shots, and good collective leadership is what this team needs. I hope he continues to play stronger, talk on the court and encourage our young men. I hope he stays next year.

He's the perfect 5th starter on a championship team. Hope we can snag Aminu next year because that starting 5 is starting to look fierce.
