I love Blair, but 9-26 (5-15 from 2) was atrocious. Blair was 5/15 overall, 1/4 from 2 and 4/11 from 3. Not a great game but 18 points on 15 shots is much better than 26 shots and definitely not atrocious.

Marshall taunting Gtown doesn't bother me. He was a local stud and there was no excuse for us not to go all out for him. He rightfully feels slighted. That was a different staff however. But Ewing doesn't recruit locals so not sure he would have ended up here anyway.
Blair getting the green light has been a blessing in disguise. He's a starter next year.

Honestly, I don't know how I am feeling these days. One thing I do know, is that I am angry at those who, for whatever reasons, have put us in this predicament.

If you don't want someone to taunt you, stop them. It's that simple. And if they taunt you, make them feel regret for doing so. Just ask Quincy McKnight how it works...

This one stung because we had a chance to steal it until marshals 3. And I was hoping to get 16 win where at worst we would finish 16-16 now we may finish with a loosing record. Without a win in next 2 games we can’t finish.500 which isn’t big deal to some but I think 16-16 is better than a loosing record especially how they have fought and not quit. It means a lot in my opinion. Go Hoyas keep fighting all you can do really just keep playing hard.

It’s been a tough season. You root so hard for kids like Mosley, but we just don’t have the talent or depth.

Wow. Just wow. I couldn’t believe the call at the time and neither could Ewing. I don’t know - looks like travel to me. My strong point of view - we have to have a lot in the “luck bank / good karma” now. Jeff / Otto turned into college superstars. Roy developed beautifully. Got Monroe. Simms turned into good player.....some specific plays - Jeff pivot - step - gather - shoot in NCAA. Roy 3pter CS UConn. The UConn comeback. Nova snow game. The Jon Wallace foul with ~3 seconds left 90 ft from basket vs BE riva (wva?). Go back farther and original Duke victory. More recently, going 10-15 in 3 a few weeks back. Well now we’ve had multiple NCAA flameouts / really crappy luck during JTIII, don’t need to rehash, losing the guys this year, seemingly every random 4th option on the opposing team getting super hot when playing us. So many injuries .... So we are due, right? That’s what I’m hoping for now. I do appreciate how hard these guys are playing. That is huge improvement. We need bodies though. And more talent (not meant to be offensive to the guys we have)

I can hear crickets in this forum...the kids deserve our support and continued discussion At this point, I am just angry that another upstanding Hoya like Jagan Mosely lost so many games these last 4 years, he is just another Hoya that deserved so much better. That is why I cannot pretend anymore to be OK with the lousy direction of this season and program, but I also realize this is definitely not the right place to vent. So I post post less now, so others can put forth a more positive outlook and attitude.

Also, like I keep pointing out, it only takes 2-3 outstanding recruits, not necessarily 4-5 stars but kids who develop over time (Roy Hibbert anyone), to turn a program around. So yes things look bleak now but one thing about Ewing that is obvious to me is how much he hates losing. Without the defections he had an NCAA team this year. Let's see where we are a year from now before bailing on PE and the program.

The positive has to be how low we were when Esh was canned and how quickly we turned things around. The definition of of "how low" has been recentered since 2004. Craig Esherick's last three seasons: 2001-02: 19-11 overall, 9-7 Big East 2002-03: 19-15, 6-10 2003-04: 13-15, 4-12 Total: 51-41, 19-29 John Thompson III's last three seasons: 2014-15: 22-11, 12-6 2015:16: 15-18, 7-11 2016-17: 14-18, 5-13 Total: 51-47, 24-30 Last three seasons: 2017-18: 15-15, 5-13 2018-19: 19-14, 9-9 2019-20: 15-14, 5-11 Total: 49-43, 19-33

I think the last 4 seasons have been our worst since 1972 (thinking of Jagan's 4-year tenure).

Time to start rising from the ashes.
I believe we would have started this year but for the transfers followed by the injuries, which will also impact next season. But now there is pretty much nowhere to go but up!

Wow. Just wow. I couldn’t believe the call at the time and neither could Ewing. I don’t know - looks like travel to me. The point is that Marshall did the same thing twice and wasn't called. Guess we need to send Blair to Cincinnati for lessons.

Same move. That's the point. Exactly. Either call both a travel or let both go. It shouldn't be that hard.
