What a tough loss in a terribly played game by both sides.
Haven’t seen Xavier play this season - is Jones always so effective? And dooshy?

After the 4 transfers it is a total rebuilding job,you cannot loose 3 good players sophomores and a freshman that good and not have to rebuild.and then loosing seniors and if yurtseven doesn’t come back it’s a completely rebuilding job. But what can you say or do .go Hoyas.

Don’t know whether he’s always effective, though he does arrange a double double every game, but he always plays like clown. Some people may call it intensity but really he just acts like a dick and I would never want that kind of attitude around.

Without landing 2 major grad transfers (starting PG or combo guard and starting forward), the combination experience/talent deficit will have next years team ranked 10th in preseason BE polls. . LOLLLLLLLLLZ. You are so effing predictable Look on the bright side, there will be 11 teams next year with UConn. That said, we will most likely be stuck at the bottom again.

We didn’t play well, but had the chance to steal it When they showed their coach singling out Pickett as the guy to defend when they were up 5 or so, I thought we had a chance, and we did. Damn the 30% 3 shooters who don't miss against the Hoyas at the end! Apparently other coaches don't read this Board for their scouting.

Yes. In all seriousness we don’t need to start next year with someone rehabbing an ACL or Achilles. In my view you play every game to win. Period. I can't fathom telling Jagan that the team is packing it in. Try to win the next two. And if (when) you don't, you try like hell to run the table in NYC. I’m not suggesting we pack it in but I’d be a little more careful with making the guys go 38 mins every night.

Not sure what is silly, but the person you are referring to was former Hoya Greg Malinowski Ah, he looks a lot younger than he did last year with that hair color. I’ve seen him with the full blond thing going.

Wilson with a boot? This is crazy. Ewing in the postgame press conference said Wilson cracked a bone in his lower leg yesterday in practice.

This season has certainly be very frustrating. We had great hopes at the beginning of the season. But I want to applaud those who are left. You don't lose your four best players and two recruits and expect to win many games with the competition so great these days. So yes thanks for representing us with a lot of class and not sending it in.

If Mac hadn't come back from injury early and hunted his shot we probably would have won a game or two considering the perfect way we moved the ball without him. DELETED - READ THE BOARD RULES.

Frustrating loss in a game where Xavier tried like hell to give it away. Some really painful basketball to watch on both sides.
Totally agree with others on Jones’ (and to a lesser extent than his usual) Marshall’s classless taunting. Celebrate sure, but continually showing up your opponent will come back to bite you eventually.
Both Q and Ighoefe are different versions of unfinished. Hard to play a whole game against this team with them. Both have high ceilings but Q will be the better BASKETBALL player faster.
Turnovers killed today - I would have told Pickett that was it for drives into traffic in the lane after 2 at most.
I love Blair, but 9-26 (5-15 from 2) was atrocious.
Refs were awful both ways, making calls when the infraction was minimal and did not affect the ballhandler, making calls when out of position and no vision of the actual foul (which often did not occur) and generally inserting themselves into the game when it was not necessary.
My kingdom for a box out - I’ll even settle for 1 or 2 a game.
Allen went down the lane a lot but it looked like he thought he was fouled a couple of those.
Nice crowd, but little to get excited about until late in the game.

I’m flying in. They better be wearing home gray. I feel disrespected. No more white or teal this year please.

36 fouls and 43 turnovers: hard to watch. But many kudos to our guys, all of whom laid it all on the line.

I feel a wrist slapping coming. Someone has to have some humor and understand I'm not serious about this..just repeating the many "didn't Mac learn anything while watching the ball movement crowd that hit hard in his short return". It sounded like they felt we were better with him out ( I do not feel that way). I was curious if anyone stood by their comments or not. Nobody did so....

Wow. Just wow. I couldn’t believe the call at the time and neither could Ewing.
