What is there to alter? The key now is to teach his PG to make the right decision, I'm sure he teaches it but it's up to the guys on the court to make the right choice and the off-ball guys to get open in the right spots. As far as defense goes, I agree but again it's a foreseeable weakness and I hope he focuses on it for his personal development going forward. Hope you're right because we are struggling once again w/an inferior opponent and things don't feel like their improving. I am not expecting miracles after 10 games but some movement in the right direction on both ends would be nice.... I understand the frustration, trust me but Pat's offense requires the ball handler to break down his man then make the right decision (score or find open guy). At this point our guys that can break down their man are FR so they make the wrong decision as often as the right and the off-ball guys arent comfortable with it yet. 10 games is a tiny sample and if you havent seen improvement and adjustments over last years team, idk what to say. Still a long way to go.

Leblanc has been a spark on the offensive and if the ally oop was McClung to Leblanc it would have worked instead Leblanc to McClung

Greg "Break In Case Of Emergency" Malinoswki comes to the rescue again. Im sure this will get him even less run next game.

It’s not rocket science, to route opponents you have to get stops. Unfortunately we suck at defense and rely on our opponents to miss shots more than anything.

Our defense is a show but this team looks so much better when they are moving the ball quickly and not pounding it into the ground.

Shabbazz missed it after losing Jagan... we were lucky (as was Jagan) But Jagan did stick with him in his face on the prior two misses.

Tougher that it should have been, but that Akinjo drive and dish was the real game-decider. That's why he needs to be in there at the end. Too bad Josh threw that alley-oop to the stratosphere, would have been some nice icing there.

A big plus for the night is that Carter showed some. He was 1 for 2 from 3 and showed some real hustle for rebounds and on defense.

Oh ! If only that Leblanc to McClung pop would have connected. Just a bit too much of a floater of a pass. Right idea, need to execute it better

It seems like he sticks with the freshman longer when they are mixing drives with quick passes to the open man. When they result to drives with the intent to only score coupled with long 3 pt attempts, they tend to find a seat next to Orr.

I get it but you used the meme wrong. Sure it does. There is nothing NBA about this offensive system except for the occasional PnR regardless of the personnel. Not all teams run solely PnR with their PG. Yes it is the predominant NBA O but not the focus of the teams Pat was involved with. TBH I do wish we used more PnR but not sure if Jessie has the foot speed to effectively run the roll (he'd kill the pop though). We can get into a meme discussion at a later time

I preferred JT3's offense when it was being by run by people who understood it, but it was terrible when it was run by mismatched players. Lots of ways to win -- I think this team has figured out how to win at the end (except for the one game where we had the wrong personnel in at the end), but what they need to do now is play smarter during the game to build on leads instead of giving them away with poor shot selection or lazy passes. One big problem from last year solved, but need to figure out how to play smarter with the lead.
