Improvement needed on both ends of the floor. And fast.

App St is not a bad team. I watched them play Alabama earlier this season, and they gave them quite a game. They also played Wichita St close earlier this year. Their overall record makes it seem like they should be a push-over, but we can't take anything for granted.
I'm hoping to be there in person for the game. I want to see a more focused team.

I thought we would be further along in our rebuild than we are. Sometimes, my optimism springs eternal.
Having said that, I am excited to watch this team develop. If this program turnaround was easy, it wouldn’t be nearly as exciting and satisfying.

Improvement needed on both ends of the floor. And fast. Don't forget the bench.

I would like Pickett in a uniform and the ball out of Jagan's hands during critical possessions. That is all I ask for this game.

All I want out of this game is some indication that we can play defense. No wide open 3 point shooters and no easy layups. Also a Pickett appearance and contribution would be nice. Oh yeah, one more thing, why not give Carter some PT? These OOC games are supposed to get us ready for BE play. Well, with the lineup we've been fielding the last few games it's obvious we need help on the defensive end. Especially if Pickett is in the doghouse let's see what Carter brings to the table.

Spot on - players AND staff.

Spot on - players AND staff. Yup, that was what I was implying with the initial post. Staff has to start putting this team in the best position possible to win games; for a variety of reasons, it hasn't done that thus far.

Carter is part of the future and Mourning isn’t. To the extent someone other than Govan and LeBlanc need minutes I would not mind seeing some Carter.

I hope the Illinois win wasn’t this season’s peak. ☹️

I hope the Illinois win wasn’t this season’s peak. ☹️ The SMU loss has taken a toll on the prediction algorithm at WarrenNolan.com--it's not Jerry Palm but it's usually fairly accurate by March. Good thing it's December...but the schedule is not Georgetown's friend.

DePaul going 9-9 in the conference? That's all I needed to know. Next

What's the plan to handle their 6'5", 19ppg scorer Shabazz? The defense should be one player (Mosley, Kaleb, Greg, Pickett, LeBlanc, even Blair) sticks like gum to him wherever he goes and the other four extend to the perimeter depending where the ball is. I'm tired of the best player of the other team still getting it on against us. Let's stop him or slow him down. Let's throw one fresh player after another one at him and see how he handles it.
BTW, App. St. has several good 3-pt shooters (Team is 37% vs. our 34%). Another good test to see if we are working on stopping the hot hand and the 3's. Or will it be a stubborn try, try again the same things that aren't working?

What happened to pre-game interviews? Dan? DFW? That's something that was not carried over from Mex Carey to Lori Hamamoto.

Yeah, I don't like it, but if it means Pat is out recruiting and doesn't have time for the pre-game interviews, so be it. Better recruits = more wins = faster rebuild.

He couldn't attend a 15-minute conference call? Maybe have an assistant stand in?
