Once a guy puts on a Hoya uniform, I am his fan; whether or not he leaves for another destination. I want each of them to succeed. These kids are making decisions their maturity level has not prepared them for. I want to see Pickett succeed. I want to see Yurt7 succeed. I want to see Mac succeed. I want to see Paul White, Domingo, Akinjo, Chudie, Kaleb, Leblanc, etc. succeed. I can't understand the need to trash any of them. As a twenty year old, would any of you have been capable of making perfect decisions? The other's I can kind of understand there situation and why they left but I don't know how I feel about Q leaving. That one seemed wrong. JA for me. I feel like he sabotaged what could have been a really good team with a personal vendetta.

Pickett was an above average shooter and solid defender in college with enough size/athleticism/defensive versatility to hold his own in the pros. But his biggest weakness was attacking the rim off the bounce and finishing with any kind of regularity in the paint. However, if his role at the next level doesn't require him to do that like it did at Georgetown, that will probably work to his advantage as he can focus on being a 3-and-D guy. Improving that shooting with some additional range and consistency may give him a chance. But the Pistons really have a roster crunch at the moment. Looks like 16 guys for 15 spots (qualifying offer to Hamidou Diallo included), and one of their two 2-ways is already spoken for. So for him to make the Pistons' NBA roster, he'd have to beat out Luka Garza, Balsa Koprivica (both 2nd round picks) plus play well enough to convince the Pistons to release two other guys currently signed. Doesn't seem likely. Could see him getting an Exhibit-10 deal with Detroit to go to the G-League this season, but hopefully he keeps it up so that other teams start taking notice and become options. His other problem is he’s older than all the guys he would need to beat out. If he was clearly better he would have a better chance. If he is about the same as a 21 year old he’s going to have a tougher time. The Pistons likely aren’t the best place for him based on the current roster makeup. He’s free to go wherever he wants so hopefully his agent is working the phones. I think they are likely to keep him. The ability to put a team on the floor where the shortest guy is 6-7 (Cade Cunningham at PG), or Killian Hayes at 6-5 would only be able to happen with the versatility that JaMorko offers being able to guard shooting guard to power forward (and small ball centers)

This is not good for Jamorko. Not the end of the world but one less spot on the Pistons as they are out of two ways.

I feel like he sabotaged what could have been a really good team with a personal vendetta. TBF Josh had way more to do with it that James. He's never received the ire the other guys have drawn, and I agree with EasyEd that we shouldn't be so critical of young guys making mistakes, but we're going to be accurate about the situation it was him more than James/Mac that caused problems even beyond the legal thing he got into.

Think we are jumping on Pickett's bandwagon too quickly. He has had two consecutive good games. Two. They were preceded by two not so good games. Heaven knows I hope he keeps up his good string but I've heard this song before. Holding my breath but not overly optimistic.

I'd love to see the kid make an NBA team this year, but realistically, my hope is he gets to be a starter for a G League team all year. I think a year of full-time basketball focus, practicing and playing at this level, continuing to gain consistency and work at his game, and having coaches see what he could do will help him. I could even see him being a late year call-up after a solid season, ala Yurtseven. And that could turn into a real shot to make the NBA, ala Yurtseven. Certainly fits the profile of a NBA player if he can gain consistency.

Not gonna root against you. Not rooting for an injury or other catastrophe. But not rooting for you. I just don't care once you choose not to be a Hoya.

Hard to show much when you're only getting a a couple minutes a quarter. Hopefully he plays well tonight.

But, for a guy that wasn't a lottery pick to look like the best or one of the two best players on the floor in 2 out 4 summer league games isn't a small thing. Jamorko's best bet was to show that he belongs and can excel. He very much did that. He gave himself a much better shot than he had prior to summer league.

Another strong start for Morko tonight!
Happy for him but selfishly wish we could have convinced him to stay on the Hilltop one more run. In fairness though, he went out on a high and deserves this opportunity now.

The over the top gushing over Garza in each of these games is nauseating. He's been really good. But, it's WAY too much.

What's wrong with jumping on a player's bandwagon who is a good representative of the team u root for?

Pickett with the slam on a backdoor cut for 14 points. Fraschilla certainly hyping him. "How does he not get drafted?"

Marko needs to hire Fraschilla as his agent, if he hasn't already. Fran did say that Marko signed an Exhibit 10 deal and Pistons trying to figure out how to upgrade him.
