Thanks for this. Verizon is trying to get me to pay an extra $50/month to hook up my tv again so I can watch the hoyas. Come on man, this is 2017. If I want to stream something, there's gotta be a way. I'm going to give sling a try. I hope it works for you. Please let us know how it goes as I'm sure more and more of us are punting on cable and satellite at this point and I know of at least 3 posters here that are having the FS2 issue. Sling was great. I recommend it. First game I was able to watch. I thought Johnson played well which was a relief. For this team to make some noise in the conference, he is going to have to play a big role. Most impressed with Blair. He looks like the scouting reports on him way undervalued his talent. I did not expect him to be playing at the level he is this early. He could be a real steal. This is a fun team to watch :-)

Loved what I saw out of Juggy and Jiggy tonight. But there will be games when they are off or in foul trouble, and Trey and Mulmore will have to get minutes instead. Patrick will play every game to win, with whatever works that night. Isn't what you're saying a given though? I'm talking about when all things are equal play Mosely & Blair..

Good game folks. I like the way Coach Ewing is using these games figuring out his scheme and who he wants to play. I like what I'm seeing. I like Juggy in the starting line up.

Loved the balanced scoring. Loved that we dominated a smaller team on the boards. Need to work on the TOs, too many lazy passes taking the ball up. Glad to put the Sodom RS discussion to rest. He will be needed to keep Jessie fresh but should also contribute on both sides of the ball and secure rebounds. With our backcourt, we'll be better off going with the hot hand. We shot the 3 well today but I am a bit concerned about the whole season; the chances should be there. Defense is still a work in progress but Im liking our switching and help defense; two important aspects in today's hands off M2M world. Jessie should dominate the OOC but Ill be interested to see what he does against bigger and more talanted bigs.

Jesse looks thinner and fiercer, Kaleb looks like he has been set free and well the whole team looked good. What to me was most impressive to me was the decisiveness of all of them . There has been some good coaching going on....

Final Thoughts:
1. Enjoyed seeing the turnovers reduced from 18 vs Jacksonville to 16 tonight and the assists go up from 18 to 25
2. Jessie Govan posted his 2nd consecutive double double to start the season wit 20 pts, 14 rebs
3. The Hoyas broke 100 pts with 5 players posting double digit scoring figures and non was Derrickson (Pickett, Mosley, Govan, Johnson and Blair)
Final Grade: A
Solid teams treat cup cakes and scrubs the way the are supposed to treat'em which is road kill; blow the doors off and never let them believe. The offensive aggression is definitely there as the team looks to score at the 1st opportunity. So far this season the team is showing that they have talent and the instinct to put lesser opponents away which is a welcomed site.

We may get smoked when the Big East season starts, but I honestly believe that these MSM guys would be giving us fits if we played them with the old philosophy. Let's face it we would barely escape with the win or get upset against MSM the past couple years. When was the last time we were up by 30 with 6 minutes left so that we can insert and develop the bench. That was one of the problems. Every game was too close to but in the backups and freshman. So they never developed through the season. I think we would have won, but yes, it would have been close. MSM actually shot pretty well for a while. The difference is that you can hide your defense if you are willing to shoot the ball in the first 10 seconds of your offensive possession. Last year we would have run 15-20 seconds of offense and the score would have been 30-25 at HT. I think Ewing knows the defense is a work I progress so he wants to keep scoring.

I suppose, but more because they have more to contribute right now, not just because the other guys only have this season left.

I'm not convinced that this about assessing individual performances when one considers the personnel and caliber of the opposition. But we're definitely seeing the Ewing offensive "vision." Board, run, shoot, and don't spend time in half court sets. Shoot the three before the defense adjusts. This probably isn't going to work on any given Big East night until we have all of the pieces in place. But it's the way to go in today's game, and we'll have some fun getting there. Like it.

Am I the only one who thinks LJ Peak would have been a monster on this team? I wonder what he thinks when he sees them play. This uptempo style would have been perfect for him.

Yeah, it will be tough to win this way in the BE without the right individual talent, but as you said, it's a fun and more importantly, attractive style of play. Attractive, meaning, it will attract people to want to play here...

I liked the fact that Ewing called a TO three minutes into the game after a really bad defensive lapse on a PNR. Something JTIII would never do this and it drove me crazy.

Really like what I've seen, so far, from Blair and Pickett. These young'uns are going to be big contributors down the road.

So they never developed through the season. Do you want actual answers? MSM is ranked 285th by Pomeroy, and given their experience, that's generous. Just last year, we beat USC Upstate (244) by 45 and were up by 31 at halftime. So yeah, like opening night last year. We also beat Coppin State (343) by 52 and were up by 38 at halftime and 52 by 10 minutes left.We played a closer game against Howard -- more like our opening this year. We're playing a lot of crap teams right now. People bitched about the Elon game or the Arkansas State loss last year and while we shouldn't be losing to those teams, they were good enough to be the bottom end of the Big East. The Mount is nowhere near that. And it's a fallacy that we didn't blow out teams under JTIII, didn't have garbage time, etc. So much of this thread is bashing JTIII -- who, frankly, doesn't deserve it -- but if you are going to do it, at least don't make up. This took me about 12 seconds of googling to figure out you were wrong.

Jahvon Blair reminds me of Charles Smith as he goes into the lane. Herky JerKY with a bunch of hesitation and a lot of midrange soft junk. Scorer.
