yeah it was a pretty weak call, but since it helps us. IT WAS TOTALLY LEGIT.

I could watch that replay 35 times and not call the foul once. Then, I see the name of the school on the jersey, and it is an easy one. I don't feel bad at all. They've been getting room service from the zebras for years now on the drive/flop lucha libre hoops crap.

That wasn't a foul. I hate to say this, but I actually feel bad for Nova. No one deserves to lose like that.

That wasn't a foul. I hate to say this, but I actually feel bad for Nova. No one deserves to lose like that. I'd call it karma for all the flops Reynolds(and their other guards) got away with at the 3 point line at Nova. The only team more deserving of losing a game like that is Duke.

Utah State is getting all they can handle @ Idaho right now. Down 6 at the under 8 minute timeout. The Vandals are getting to the rim a ton in the 2nd half and the Aggies can't buy a three pointer, despite getting repeated good looks.

Still an 8 point game with 4+ to go. I'd hate to see USU drop this one.

Utah State is about to pick up their first "bad" loss. They don't have a "good" win yet.
They should strongly consider winning their conference tournament.

Still an 8 point game with 4+ to go. I'd hate to see USU drop this one. Utah State just did a lot wrong tonight. They shot abysmally from three, turned the ball over, and were crap on the defensive glass. If you do that on the road, even against a very middling team like Idaho (KenPom #156) you'll take a L. Like many other years, Utah State has no quality wins and now one ugly loss. They've likely forced themselves to win the WAC tournament to get in to the NCAAs.

IT was a tough call but Fishers arm slapped mitchell on the forearm(really ran down from the forearm to the elbow), kinda put the ref in a no-win situation, kinda like the Stokes bump on Wallace, he shouldnt have had his hand out like that and just had it straight up

Yes, it was the right call. It reminded me of the discussions here about JC's defense in last second situations.

I read some comments from Fisher and Wright in which they both acknowledged that the call was correct. Just an unreal finish. Teams leading by 5 with 12 seconds to play usually win. Although as I recall, we lost a game to Nova in a similar manner during the Esh error.

I give a lot of credit to Rutgers for continuing to fight, scratch, and claw until their final winning shot at the buzzer (plus free throw).
The way Cuse quit last night, on the other hand is a different story...

To recap, Rutgers down 13 with 5 minutes left to Nova, Rutgers hits two three pointers to tie in the last 6 seconds and is fouled on the second three, hits free throw and wins. Happy for Rutgers. To further clarify, it was Jonathon Mitchell who hit the 25 footer with .8 seconds on the clock to tie it. After a timeout to "ice" him, he calmly went to the line and sank the free throw to complete the rare 4 point play and the amazing comeback. Oh, by the way, Mitchell transferred from Florida a couple of years ago to be closer to home. I wish him well.

the timeout wasnt neccesarily to ice him , Villanova was trying to draw up a play if he hit it, they tried the ol' run the baseline and draw a foul by screening the guy who is guarding the inbounds, and the pass made it there, its just it was Sutton catching it.

I think this is a huge game for ST Johns. They are at home and I think either need this game or a win against Pitt to get into the tournament. A win here would really set them up for a tournament bid....

St. John's up 4 at half as st. John's hits a 3 at the buzzer. Looks like Calhoun got a Tech going into the half as well so St. John's will get a chance to expand their lead before the half even starts.

Dwight Hardy is in god mode. Glad we got our 2 games against them out of the way. This is fun to watch.

How tough is St. John's at MSG. Beat Georgetown, Notre Dame, Duke, and possibly UConn, depending on how the rest of this game goes. It should make all of their games during the Big East Tournament pretty interesting.
