Chris gets MVP, and Henry gets the game ball. Good enthusiasm from the fans. Um, Chris, the guy you called garbage like 5 minutes before this posting? I don't get people that are still down on Chris this season. if you haven't seen the progress he has made in his game, you just don't want to see it.

Um, Chris, the guy you called garbage like 5 minutes before this posting? That's wrong, and you know it if you can read. I said clearly that he played 3 minutes of awful basketball, which he did. On balance, he had a great week and was the key to our success.

So what would pulling him do? And I didn't see 3 minutes of garbage, I saw some FTs he should have made.
And really..."you know it if you can read." I love it when people get tough online. Back up your points with analysis or points or don't, but don't make silly ad hominem attacks.

I don't think it has been mentioned, but Hollis took care of Leslie tonight.

This team is VERY talented, deeper than we thought, and extremely well coached. Deeper than many of you thought but some of us felt very good about the quality of talent going into the season. I may have mentioned it only once or so on HT and HR but to the guys at work I pointed out for weeks now that I felt this team has a great chance at being better than last season's team. The only guy I wasn't quite sure about was Henry.

Back up your points with analysis or points or don't, but don't make silly ad hominem attacks. You can find what you're looking for up thread, before your little snipe. I stand behind it even if it does not meet what you're looking for in your high minded analysis in an in-game thread. You made your point, and frankly it is not well taken. To add, I would have sat Wright and put Vee (as I mentioned originally) or Markel in, or even shift Clark and Freeman to the backcourt. With a 15 point lead or so, there's a chance for Wright to get a talking to. It is the same thing we had with Bowman - if you don't pull him, nothing would change in that spot.

HENRY!!!!!!!!!
I loved the way Henry played today. The best part is III stuck with him. His first play of the game was that errant pass to no one but he turned it around quickly. How many backdoor passes did he have?! Wow. And the rebounding.
This team could be VERY VERY good this year. This is going to be an exciting year. Granted, it was NC State and not Duke (if I'm making ACC comparisons), but this team is blowing good teams away right now. We'll see how this team plays on the road at Missouri or Memphis but I like our chances against almost anyone on our schedule the way we are playing right now.
I was waiting for Austin to be more assertive but given our margin of victory tonight, I can't complain. Chris and Jason were great again tonight. Hollis was also great (although I'm not surprised - Hollis is going to be all Big-East one day). I also thought Benimon gave us some quality minutes (and played well alongside Henry). Julian is a big key to this team (and he showed his senior poise again tonight).
My fiancee was watching some of the game with me (her first game this year), and one of the first things she said was, "They actually look like a team this year".

are we better w/o monroe? so far, yes!! I don't think that has anything to do with it. We now have a backcourt for of upperclassmen, including two seniors. We also have another senior in Vaughn. Last season's team was learning to win in many ways after the disastrous '08-'09 campaign. This current team, after coming off a year in which it played perhaps the toughest schedule, in now a year wiser and much more battle-tested. Maybe the Hoyas will be like that Virginia team that went to the Final Four AFTER Ralph Sampson graduated.

Their freshmen class has great potential. Agreed. N.C. State could easily be a team that starts to gel in January, makes some noise in the ACC, and turns out to be a very good win for the Hoyas. Good job tonight by multiple players. In addition to the Big Three, Vaughn, Thompson, Sims and Benimon each showed at flashes of brilliance. And it's still November. I am typically able to find something to complain about, but I have nothing else to say but congratulations on a big win for the 2010-11 Hoyas.

@ Ambassader, Why has Chris been awful? Because he missed to free throws......asinine statement...Chris has been the player of this tournament....go somewhere There was that and the poor decisions on the break with a lead. We don't need that and have never needed that at the end of the game. Brilliant game but this is where games are won/lost down the road in March. you are a huuuuuuge hater, i dont recall these bad decisions you claim he made.. all he did was miss two freethrows... go to some other board

He played a good game otherwise, again, as I've stated.

A near-flawless game by a true *team*, and worth emphasizing, perfectly coached at every moment -- subs, time-outs, and the direction to run and play hard every minute of the game (especially in the middle of the second half when they first grabbed a small lead). In these first 5 games of the season, we are seeing JT-3 take his own game to a new level.

He's the engine and is simply running this team beautifully.

That's why everyone is calling for more press. That's just one example.
