Outstanding effort all night, especially in the 2nd half. Really enjoyed watching the Hoyas compete tonight. The backcourt experience turned this game on its head in the second half. I also enjoyed watching the play of Henry and Julian, great effort on the glass and in the paint. Where has that Hollis Thomspon been?!?! That was the guy I had read about as a recruit. Just a terrific way to close out this tournemant against an NCSU team that will be a very good team by March.

Wow what a game. Nip and tuck in the first half. One of the few things Jay Williams was spot on with was the intensity of the game not being akin to your normal OOC game.
Then came the 2nd half where we blew the doors off them (and I'm pretty sure NC St.'s going to be solid this year -- Harrow and Brown are two really good guards). Hollis played great, really aggressive at going to the cup which is going to make him an even more difficult cover. As always Chris was the heart and soul, and seems to know when to take over the game and when to be a playmaker.
But...the story of the game was Henry. What the hell was that? For a 6 minute stretch he might have been the best player on the court. Playing tough D, grabbing every board in sight, and passing like he changed his number to #10. Wow. I was happy when he was making a play or two and contributing. If he plays like that...look out.

Great to see big games from guys other than Austin, Chris, and Clark. Story of the game for me is Hollis, Vaughn, and Sims (!!!!) looking really, really good. Even Benimon had some nice moments. If they play like that, we'll be really tough to beat.
Markel gave us nice minutes, but I do want to see some Vee Sanford out there. I know the minutes are scarce.
Austin didn't have his best game, but the two slams were awesome!

This team is VERY talented, deeper than we thought, and extremely well coached. Plus, we start 3 seniors and a junior! I have a very good feeling about our upcoming season.
Chris Wright is playing like an ALL BIG EAST PG!

agreed that the frontcourt was the biggest (pleasant) surprise of this game...oustanding!
the excellent ball movement in the 2nd half stood out as well, including some sweet backdoor passes

TWO WORDS: HENRY SIMS. What a game for Henry; at both ends. It seemed like Henry had more than 5 assists. Our fans were chanting his name he was so dominant tonight. HENRY.

all i can say is whoa. Henry Sims= stud tonight. A night where hollis and henry did a lot of GREAT things to help us win. If you told me Freeman wouldnt have much of an impact on the game and we win in double digits i woulda said u were crazy. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and predict amazing results the rest of the season but i'll just say i like the way the team is developing thus far....!

Really tremendous, I think we are all very excited. Happy for Henry, he has probably had a lot of tough days at Gtown, people back home asking him "what happened to you?" so I am just happy he feels like the player he thought he would be. Keep it up, big man.
Do feel a bit bad for Vee--if, for nothing else, because he looks great this year. He NEEDS to hang in there. He is going to be a big part of what we do this season and most certainly in the future. Vee is awesome.

First game I have seen and Henry had a career half in the 2nd half. That outlet pass started the Hoyas rout. Great interior passing by Henry. He looked like he really belonged out there.
EDIT. And no I didn't read the rest of this thread before I posted. But it seems like it is a unanimous feeling about Henry.

Great second half. Everyone contributed and some nice break-out games for a few, as mentioned in the thread.
This team seems has a nice bit of swagger -- much more than teams from the recent past. Loved seeing AF really getting into it.
Looks like it will be a fun year.

Season low in turnovers too right? Yes, I noticed that too. Only 9 TOs. Henry and JB had two each, no one else had more than one.

Great to see that athleticism by Austin in those two thunderous dunks.
