One game at a time for the Unmade Bed and his NY/NJ 'Eers. Or Butler. Or Sparty. ABD.

Go Butlers (both Bulldogs and Da'Sean). I wouldn't mind West Virginia winning it for the Big East. However, if Butler were to win it in Indianapolis, that would be an amazing story.
I think Tom Izzo may be the best coach in college basketball for the past 10 years, his teams always do well when it matters. But I am sick of seeing them in the Final Four, national championship game, etc. As for Duke... they came out of a weak region. I believe West Virginia will wipe for the floor with them.
I personally think this is West Virginia's title to lose.

Give me Butler or MSU for the title. The other game is found in Webster's Dictionary under the definition of Meteor Game.

Well, that didn't go as expected. But... none of the top 4 seeds survived the brutally tough Midwest bracket, and the 1 seed made it through the very soft South bracket. Not that surprising after all, I guess.

Glad we beat two of the Final Four this year and came within a basket of beating another one of them. (Does it sound like I'm over our loss yet?).
I've lost a lot of interest in the tourney after our loss but Izzo is a top 3 coach in college bball. Love the toughness of his teams. West Virginia also plays with that same toughness. I think one of those 2 teams will win it.

I can't remember a Final Four this devoid of NBA talent. Other than maybe Da'Sean Butler, is there anybody on any of these teams who even has a prayer of ever making an NBA all star team?

Considering that every mock draft that I have read has Gordon Hayward going ahead of Da'Sean Butler, my answer to your query is Hayward.
That being said, your point is well taken.

Not that surprising after all, I guess. Also, as a helpful ESPN graphic told me...apparently the Final Four teams were all Top 10 in the preseason poll, and Top 15 or so in the final regular season poll.

Unfortunately, NCAA/CBS conspiracy will ensure DOOK is in Championship game. . . .

If any team was lucky in this tourney, it was Michigan State. I hate Duke, but they took care of business against some tough teams and wiped the floor with the teams they should have beat. The fact that MSU made it to the Final Four without Lucas could say a lot about the job Izzo did, but it also says a lot about the teams they played. And, Butler? Please, dont get me started.
Yes, I am bitter. I firmly believe we are better than 3 of the Final Four teams, and only slightly underdog to WVU. Most depressing year ever.....

Give Duke credit, they don't lose a lot of games they are supposed to win. If you look at the ACC this year, they basically handled their business against a soft conference and outside of Baylor (who I think is solid but played dumb), their tourney run was a breeze.
WVU/Butler final is what I am hoping for and I don't really care who wins but the mid-major national champion would be pretty cool. I think it is a byproduct of all of the one and done talent. You just knew Kentucky would unwhined at some point.

Fair point, CHH. I do think they had no business getting the 3rd #1 seed or the softest tourney bracket, but you are right, they dont lose games they are supposed to...unlike some team.

Much as I hate seeing Duke in the Final Four again, I thought Seth Davis made an interesting point in his recap of this past weekend's games. Sub in "Vernon Macklin" or "Jeremiah Rivers" for Thomas and consider how those guys could have helped this year's team if they had bought into the team concept, or if JT3 had been able to sway them to do so:
Unsung Hero of the Day: Lance Thomas, Duke. Thomas really played his heart out. Eight offensive rebounds against the Bears' front line -- what a day's work. He's really the quintessential Glue Guy ; probably an oversight not to include him on my team. He's been an unsung hero for Duke all year. He was a very highly regarded recruit coming out of high school, and it was pretty evident early on that he was never going to be a featured scorer for Duke. A lot of guys transfer in that situation, so for him to stick it out and really buy into the whole team culture that they have down there and contribute the way that he has, that's what makes championship teams. You need guys like Lance Thomas.

So in people's opinion:
1) who is the best team left?
2) Finish this sentence. Whoever wins the title will be the weakest national champion since______?

I hate Dook as much as ... or more than ... the next guy. That being said, I had to reluctantly pull form them yesteday. For once, they did the "right" hting. 1/2 of the pool mosy is mine and the other half is close. I have never been that much of a Dookie, but I won't have any trouble enjoying the prized moeny helping take the fam to Disney World.
