For the record, I don't believe Bob Huggins knows who geedell is.
Therefore, Huggins is endeared to geedell.
geedell is not endeared to Huggins.
Though, if you tell him of these feelings you have for him, well, you never know.
;D ;D ;D

Is it the DUI, the insanely low graduation rate or the high arrest rate that endears you to Huggins? Or, perhaps, his keen sartorial taste?

This is the worst Final 4 I can remember. No lottery picks. No future lottery picks. None of the best 5 or 6 teams in the country. Aren't Duke and WVU two of the five or six best teams in the country?

Duke is not. WV probably is.

My choices:
1. Butler 2. MSU
3. WVU (would be higher but Huggins should not be allowed to coach)
4. Duke

It's funny how many people want WVU to win over Duke. I guess Duke hatred is a given for the past generation. Trust me, i am not a big Duke fan myself, but outside Syracuse winning, i cant think of anything worse than West Virginia + Bob Huggins winning a national championship. This is a fanbase that still throws batteries at people during games.

I think Huggins is slime and wouldn't want him coaching at GU or any school I was a fan of, but consider him an excellent coach. Does that make me a fan?
Duke's going to shoot a ton of FTs against the Mountaineers and beat a team they're clearly better than in the final. Them's the breaks, unfortunately.

I would root for Lucifer himself, or even John the crook Calipari, or Jim the whiner Boeheim against the evil Blue Devils.

I have no idea how a Georgetown fan can say that. cuse is our archrival and number 1 enemy, and boeheim is the leader of that crap heap. I'm certainly not a fan of duke, but they aren't even really a rival of ours and I'd root for them to win 10 more national titles if it was between that and cuse getting even 1 more.

I dont really get that either. And, its the same thing with having a huge event surrounding the Duke game, and having a better home crowd that day than against Syracuse. I don't understand why people really give a crap about Duke. I hate them as much as any non-BE opponent.

I agree with 07's and Jook's sentiments, but as far as this years crowd for duke vs cuse at least there year there's some excuse with the Duke game being n a saturday and cuse being on a weekday. But I agree the Cuse home game ought to be the biggest home game of the year.

That's understandable, but it is more the point that people really came out the woodwork to go to the Duke game.

People hate Duke because the media and bandwagon fans love them. It's not hard. No one likes the teacher's pet.

One can forget that that pitiful piece of crap school in upstate NY exists for long periods of time. It's a joy to forget that such an abomination can exist in our society. Duke, on the other hand, one cannot escape hearing about over and over and over and over again. Add to that an "unexpected" NCAA championship, and it will be absolutely miserable.

It's also magnified in this year where they're not a legitimately good team getting the breaks, but an arguably soft team that played a soft schedule getting the breaks. I'm no fan of WVU, but if they won, at least I'd think they deserved it.

I'm no fan of WVU, but if they won, at least I'd think they deserved it. I can't agree on the 'soft' stuff. They are not a great team, and it sure is easy to dislike them for any number of reasons (the usual 5 on 8, defense predicated on taking charges, etc.). Sure, they got an easy draw, but they are beating the teams they are supposed to beat, they hit the boards hard, and are playing pretty well when it counts. Ugh - I feel dirty just saying anything positive about them.
