Guys he is not playing today because of his ankle, per his fathers orders. He will be playing in West Virginia. Sorry I was away on vacation when this stuff was happening. FYI Georgetown watched my team all this weekend, I am guessing for Alex Murphy, but we have some other HM guys. Thanks Mel, should be some good teams at West Virginia. The Murphy kid could be better than his big brother that is going to Florida(good player). Glad Gtown is already on him, I really like his game. High hoops IQ and good athleticism. Maybe Gtown will get the right Murphy like Florida got the right Rivers.

Did you know that if you say "biggie"'s name in the mirror three times, he appears and busts a cap? [South Park reference] I think if the real "Biggie" was alive today and eligible to play college basketball, he would average more than the 2.4 PPG and 1.8 RPG that "biggie" did last season.

In what was the upset of the day, Nate's team(Playaz) lost the first game of the Harley Davidson Jam Fest tourney 50-48. I'll have word on Nate's play later(coming off ankle injury).

this is why only sporadically paying attention to recruiting is better for your health.

Thursday: While Georgetown commit Nate Lubick sat next to me resting his injured ankle, the rumors swirled that the talented 6-foot-8 skilled forward was re-opening his recruitment. One internet report, a guy named Jeff Borzello, got it wrong and said Lubick had already made the decision to de-commit from the Hoyas. community.foxsports.com/goodmanonfox/blog/2009/07/10/recap_daily_highlights

Won't one of our "insiders" who follow recruiting so well please find out the definite word on Lubick?

Nate Lubick has said he's still committed. He said "No" to if he was considering.
At some point don't we just take him at his word and move on? I don't know if there is a more definitive answer, truly.

Fans of the other teams that were involved with Lubick are the ones keeping it going under the theory that where there's smoke there's fire. Oh, and don't forget the college intern blogger who jumped the gun, got screwed by a source and now his trying to cover his heinie. There may well be something to this down the line, but for now we really should just take Lubick's word for it: "No. That's not true." That's pretty definitive to me.

Nate's team advanced to the semi finals of the silver bracket. They lost their first game of the tourny, but have been playing well since. They do not have Coleman on the team, as he is playing with the Weschester AAU team this tourny.

Also, the two links above posted by patrickchewing today can be found several pages earlier in this thread. I hear you and the others but I'm still waiting for Lubich, his family, JTIII, his AAU coach, or someone else to come forward and say "he's going to Georgetown. All the rumors are false". His "I'm still committed and his 'no's'" sounded like a weak response lacking in strong emphasis. Rather it sounded like "for now, yes".

I dunno, to me, shaking your head repeatedly and saying "no, no, no, no, no," seems to be a pretty solid indicator.

Just compare this to the Riley situation. There you had rumors followed by no clear response from Riley, and we all know the result of that one. Here we have rumors, followed by a clear "no" response from the player himself. Just because it happened with Riley doesn't mean that this is a similar situation.
