"...but freshman Alex Murphy is another young player who will be coveted by high major programs across the country, especially those like Georgetown who put a premium on guys with high skill levels and I.Q.’s."
Others need not apply...

Thanks for clearing that up RDF and daytona. This song is "The choice is yours" by Blacksheep. I had the tape. Anyway, all I meant by here they come is that the recruits will begin to jump on board and start listing Hoyas more and more. As mentioned previously, even those who never gave GU a look will now take a look. That wouldn't happen to include anyone named Josh Smith would it?

as per evan daniels quinn cook- point guard out of dematha- is listing us along with a whole bunch of schools. he does like us though. here's a quote:
“Since Georgetown is right down the street I go to a lot of Georgetown games and I’m real cool with their coaching staff,” Cook said. “That’s probably the school that I’m closest with right now.”
still very early and duke will be there as well. dc assault kid.

Yeah grae,
I always wondered why Hoyas didn't/haven't tapped into philly more seeing that its close and their is good talent from there. Christmas was there with his cousin. They are of jamaican descent and she is nice, but I digress.

Anyone know if we're recruiting Damien Leonard, Rivals Top Ten player? I've seen this kid a few times and he's got a tremendous shot. Smooth player.

Just came from watching Cook absolutely torch O'Connell. This kid is really good - I don't think he missed a shot from the field. And he's a good defender, too. Would love to see him in a Hoya uni.

Watched that on the "U" and Cook was easily the best player on the floor. He's a lights out shooter and hit J's from deeeeeeeeeeeppppp! He also a big shot taker/maker. I know it'll be tough cause everybody and their daddy is one him now. He has that Markel type confidence in his game.

I wouldn't mind a Starks-Cook backcourt.

We are the first school mentioned by Quinn in the little interview here: capitolhoops.com/quinncook_shines_espn.htmNot that it means anything, he seems pretty wide open right now and it will be a battle with all the big boys. But as per usual JTIII and the staff are laying the ground work early.

didn t III lay the ground work with thornton and hairston?
if quinn is a lead guard, doesn t make much sense to bring him in a class after starks. of course a lot can happen between now and then.

didn t III lay the ground work with thornton and hairston? Yes as well as Starks, Lubick, Thompson, Sims etc. Being in it early doesn't guarantee anything at all but it doesn't hurt to show a kid "the love" in a major way and early. Guards tend to be interchangeable with JTIII. Sapp is a combo, and played next to a hybrid in Wallace and a "score-first point" in Wright. Rivers was really a combo as well. A Starks/Cook backcourt would be undersized and might struggle on D but it could be silly on offense. By the way, what's the deal with every DeMatha kid we recruit having a Hoya namesake within the decade? Austin Freeman--->Courtland Freeman Chris Braswell--->Kevin Braswell Naji Hibbert--->Roy Hibbert and now Quinn Cook---> Ashanti Cook

Aside from their size, how's their defense?

RB,
GU was also the first name out of Greg's name once III started recruiting him. Others discounted it, but I always thought with GM it meant something. It obviously did.
