Thanks balla. also, naadir tharpe. he visited same weekend as roscoe and nate lubick. yup, any kid that plays AAU for coach Carrol is all good. And I am guessing you'll say the same things about Coach Stevens? That it's a good thing for GU to see him being more visible and influential in the area?

speaking of gbinje. Snipet from rivals:
At the Elite 75 Prep camp last month, the 6-foot-5 wing was the best player in the gym. That wasn't the case at the Pangos event. He was clearly one of the best in his class and had his moments that drew rave reviews. Gbinije had the wow play of the camp when he skied and dunked on a big defender. He can pull those types of plays out of his pocket when he needs to. And that is probably the beauty of his game. Gbinije only brings out the dynamite when it is needed. His offensive game can pick apart defenses quietly and effectively. That's why he's high on the wish list for so many elite programs early in his career.

Is LeBryan Nash a combination of LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash? If so, we should definitely offer him.

It looks like from the scholarship table that we will have at least 4 scholarships for the 2011 group? Is that right? Would seem to be a great time to have a lot of scholarships available with such a strong year, especially locally.
What might our biggest need areas be that year? It would seem guards, especially a 2-guard would be priority one for that year, since we would have Clark, Starks, and possibly Thompson to rotate to the 2. Maybe PF, too, especially with Monroe expected to leave, since we'd have Lubick and Sims presumably still for PF. What do you guys think? Is it guard, specifically the 2, and PF that we will focus on in that class?

We're likely to take eight players between 2010 and 2011, I think.

I would think multiple players at multiple positions to fill multiple slots.

I don't know what scares me more: the opportunity to recruit a large number of extremely high quality players to the Hilltop, or a premier scoring 2.

some more love for michael gbinije from evan daniels:
"At the recent Pangos All-South Underclassmen Camp, Gbinije was named to the all-star game and showed off his impressive skill set throughout the two-day event. He's a smooth wing that is capable of taking defenders off the dribble. His mid-range game is impressive and he's a knock down shooter from the three-point line."

Well, I just did a little reading on Balla's list of players and... HOLY ! Gibbons at ESPN already has Shaw, Blackshear, Nash, Royal, McAdoo and Tharpe in his national top 20. We're on 6 of them?! That's just crazy. Go III and staff!

And will probably get at least half. I have no inside info on them, its just the momentum that the program has generated and been riding since III has been there.

Anyone know if McAdoo is related to former 3 time NBA Scoring champ Bob McAdoo?
