mcadoo visited unc and duke recently. k told him he likes to get to know recruits and their families, because families are important. and then spent 10 minutes with him before passing him off to wojo.

Sirsaxa, McAdoo's dad is cousins with Bob McAdoo. UNC will be tough to beat. Thank you Sleepy. I've wondered that for quite a long time and you are the first person who has been able to answer the question for me. I always thought Bob McAdoo was an awesome player with a unique game. But if UNC is on his second cousin.... tough to beat. But, not impossible.

RDF, i saw in the 2010 thread where you wrote about Quinn Cook and Duke. I was wondering how you would compare Cook to Georgetown legacy Chris Martin. Similar games? Who would you rather have? Thanks.

just saw this post by WashPost's Josh Barr on soph Grandy Glaze.. Just got of the line with St. John's (Md.) Coach Silas Cheung, whose team features sophomore Grandy Glaze, a 6-6, 220-pound sophomore from outside Toronto. Carroll Coach Clinton Perrow...couldn't stop raving about Glaze..
Cheung said that Glaze is already hearing from the likes of Georgetown, West Virginia, N.C. State, Florida and UNLV, among others.
"He is an animal," Perrow said. "His motor just keeps going. I haven't seen a kid play like that in high school. He's a madman out there. I had read about him and seen a couple clips, but it doesn't do any justice. He's huge. For a sophomore, he is a monster."Link
Anyone seen this guy play?

Just watched the youtube video on Glaze. Not "pretty" basketball, but he looks very good - very active, goes after his own rebound, willing to bang inside. I can see why we're interested.

It seems we are in the mix for Michael Gilchrist. I didn't have access to it but there was a article today. While I couldn't read it you can infer from the title.

According to Scout, Michael Gilchrist was at the Memphis game. I assume it was for Memphis, but they list him as having interest in the Hoyas.

Gilchrist also has interest in Memphis. I have always heard it would be tough for us to get into his recruitment but seems like their is mutual interest.
CJ Barksdale - 2011 athletic wing- also at the game. along with his teammate paul brown. they both play for George Washington.
rakeen christmas- shot blocking center from philly.

Indeed, visiting teams cannot leave tickets for recruits. Gilchrist was definitely at our game Saturday, and he was behind our bench. The scout.com article alludes to the fact that the Hoyas made an excellent impression by beating Memphis with MG in attendance. I think bringing him in for that particular game was a terrific move by the staff. As for Worldwide Wes, he was also at the game, but I have no idea what kind of relationship the staff may or may not have with him.

Ignoring any WWW connections, i would have to think for a recruit watching a game between two schools he likes, who wins that games as a pretty big impact

Ignoring any WWW connections, i would have to think for a recruit watching a game between two schools he likes, who wins that games as a pretty big impact I doubt anyone decides on the outcome of one game, but it sure makes negative recruiting harder. "Err, but Coach Cal, I sure saw Summers beat your team repeatedly off the dribble..." As for WWW, I've heard from one or two people that he's ambivalent to GU, but keep in mind that Michael Dunigan was supposedly connected and he ended up at Oregon and not GU. He's playing well this year so far and would have been a nice add.

Sorry, I don't want to derail this thread too much, but is Dashonte a WWW guy? I know Wes has connections with The Family (if Wikipedia, and the article it cites, can be trusted), Dashonte's AAU program.

I believe that was discussed previously and it was determined that WWW didn't play a significant role in the decision.
