I say Sam Jefferson. Wasn't he a Mickey D's AA? I just don't think Tucker was there long enough. He, like Milton Bell, just wasn't there long enough for me to make a fair assessment.

I was there and remember how excited everyone was after getting him. I don't remember how high he was ranked, but I think he was a Top 15. Then, he had a horrible freshman year, had some other issues and left. IMO, that qualifies him as overrated. |

Boubacar Aw and Ya Ya Dia were underrated in my opinion. By their senior years these guys were pretty effective.
Victor Shomnick might be another.

but did he come in with a bunch of hype? I don't think so. He can't be overrated if he was not that highly thought of to begin with or not put on a pedestal so to speak. IMO

But he was put on a pedestal as a coach by the Administration giving him the reins.
Anyway, I have my "over/under" players above, plus an "over" coach.

Grady Mateen, Charles Harrison, Michael Tate-Venson, are my OVERRATED
Jaren Jackson, Bobby Winston, George Butler are underrated. Seeing how good that '95 team would've been if Butler could've stayed eligible with Iverson that year--frustrating. He could do so many things offensively and was effecient. Single handedly carried team against Illinois in '94 NCAA's to a victory after 2 year absence from tournament.
Bobby Winston just knew how to play--and did dirty work/little things off bench that win games. His alert steal against Providence in '89 game summed him up.
I admit to forgetting how talented of an offensive player Jaren Jackson was--he showed glimpses of what would later happen in San Antonio for him--could shoot/score and do so in variety of ways. I just wish I could've seen his explosions against Seton Hall-but he showed glimpses of that and always was aggressive/ready to shoot even though minutes were split up pretty evenly amongst Smitty, Winston, Bryant, Tillmon, etc...-but he was always aggressive/ready to play--and I like that in that group.

He backdoored his way into the head coaching job. Nobody said he'd be John Wooden. Now, I think is wasn't good coach, but still.
