I'm not sure I know enough about USC -- I basically have just above sportscenter level knowledge about them, i.e., good athletes, mayo leading the way, gibson tough inside, score a lot, but don't play D, overall inconsistent. Is that pretty much right? I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose to K-St.

I thought that Packer was close to tears defending the ACC as #1, and the #5 conference got 8 teams in. I think he forgot that the top two teams in the ACC overwhelmed their conference RPI, while the Big East was diluted by having 16 teams. The top 8 in the BE were deserving.

K State is awful once you get past Beasley. That game will be the Ignorance Bowl, and it is a shame that someone has to win.

It is not fair for UNC to play possibly four games in the state of North Carolina to get to the Final Four. At least send them to DC for the first two games.
Also I do feel for Va Tech considering the relationship between its program and Georgetown's. But I didn't want Va Tech to get in at the expense of a Villanova.

Does anyone else like UCONN's draw? I think they match up well against UCLA and could possibly make the Final 4. Expect another UCONN/Duke regional final in the west IMO.

Annoying that Davidson will essentially be playing a home game the first two games, but I'm glad they are everybody's darling. Hoyas will hear it and it never hurts to have a chip on your shoulder. Also, as has been said, look at the Hoyas' five losses - Pitt x2, L'ville, Memphis, and Cuse -- all really athletic, tough teams (well Cuse isn't particularly tough, but they have athletes). Even Marquette and Nova, who played us really tough, have good athletes.

Don't factor out Bill Walker, he could be a factor. But Mayo's defense is tough. I don't know much about USC myself.

Where did we find a point guard like that? I'm glad that we got Jesse Sapp

Our second round game will be tough. Two Top 25 teams in a 7-10 game? Give me a break!
As much as I like Davidson, I'd like to see them out in the first round. I really don't like the idea of playing them in Raleigh.

It is, but winnable. I can easily see GU winning convincingly until Elite 8.

And Bill Walker is a good player for Kansas State. Regardless, I think we see Davidson in the second round, USC in the sweet 16 and Kansas in the Elite 8.
Davidson is an easier second round draw than last year's against BC. I think USC is equal to last year's Vandy draw. But, I think this year's Kansas team (Bill Self's penchant for collapse aside) is better than last year's UNC team.

2nd rounds games are never easy. UNC potentially plays Indiana, Duke will play WVU or a talented but underachieving Arizona. Tennessee might play Butler. Gonzaga and Davidson are probably par for the course.

Interesting bracket, could have been worst or better but I like our chances. Lets play to our potential and finish strong!

Re: UNC -- I kow they are in-state the whole time, but I really don't see UNC making it to the Final Four. _____
Oh, and here's the tool Andy Glockner from his chat:
Dan, (San Rafael, CA): Wisconsin will take down Georgetown. No doubt in my mind.
ANDY GLOCKNER: You don't have to twist my arm on that one.

Marquette really got a brutal draw. A six seed and you have to play Kentucky in the first round!? Odds are that Creepy Crean is going to go yet another year without a non-D-Wade NCAA win.
