We definitely need some first hand accounts to get the real scoop on this kid.

Interesting quote from Calhoun about recruiting in the context of missing out on some recruits this year. Definitely something to be said for casting a very wide net. “The one thing I will guarantee you after 39 years of doing this, you get a lot more “No’s” than you do get “Yesses,” Calhoun said. “But you’ve got to make sure you’re going after enough good kids who have great potential that give you those yesses to make a difference.” www.zagsblog.com/2011/03/28/kentuckys-knight-lamb-spurned-uconn-for-cats/#more-49584

We have a number of guys who need to have big offseasons -- the underlying talent is there, but they need to really work on their strength/conditioning and the holes in their game. I hope they do it. By the time Kenner rolls around we will at least be able to tell whether some of this hard work has occurred.

This quote says a lot because it highlights the fact that both players and coaches were awful last night...
“We thought they were going to make an adjustment, but they didn’t. I’m glad they didn’t,” said VCU’s Jamie Skeen, who wasn’t surprised by the margin of victory. “They actually started playing harder toward the end of the game.”

Great story - thanks for sharing! It is funny how things come full circle sometimes -- hopefully the Hoyas can create a new chapter come Friday night.

Great news! We definitely need to get longer and more athletic - he seems like a nice fit in that regard.

This will be a tough one to watch tonight -- only good thing is that either Cuse fans (including cheerleader Sean McDonough) or sleazy Calhoun will be unhappy....that brings me some comfort.

Bronxie is militant but he has some good lines sometimes -- inner city blues are exactly what we need. I personally don't think there's any question that Trawick is going to play next year -- hopefully he is working on his jumper.
JTIII will play freshman when they are physically ready and when they represent the best option at that particular moment -- I think both cases will hold with Trawick.
I still like the potential of Starks and Moses, but obviously they need to have big offseasons. Bowen - who knows. He did show some flashes at Kenner.

We need to play some finesse teams without physical big men.

I was there today and it was painful -- so many things can be critiqued. The flaws are pretty obvious right now.
But let's not forget we've had a good run at the Big East Tournament over the last few years -makes this a little easier to deal with. Bottom line is that the CW injury was just too much to overcome in such a short span of time.
Anyway, nice job by the Hoya fans who were in MSG today, even though there was very little to cheer for.

Can't let the record deceive us - they just went into Pitt and hung in there for quite a while.

Well done JTIII! He did seem very happy afterward, as he should.

Great contribution tonight. The talent is clearly there - and he is a very heady player. We will be in good hands once he develops physically.

I agree with the aggressive defense thought, and let's extend that to aggression on the offensive end as well -- attack the zone and take the open shots with confidence. We've definitely got the shooters that can bust up a zone.

Yesterday and UCONN last year were the two best, but the performance against Louisville last year was pretty special too.

Agreed on both counts. Anderson dominated - he would fit our offense to a t. He is ultra smooth and and his passing ability is uncanny. I also think concerns about his athleticism are overblown. Hinds is a real tough guard - would have been a very nice get.

I hear you, but we've won plenty of recruiting battles against Nova -- and we will continue to do so, regardless of Kyle's choice.
