this is beyond frustrating. why on earth is blair in and mosely on the bench? the guard play and settling for too many 3's killed this team in the 2nd half.

you are NEVER going to win a game where you give up 20 offensive rebounds. this game is won easily if that number is cut in half.

Someone has to ask Pat why on earth you stay in a zone giving up wide open 3's and a million offensive rebounds. if they rebound at a competent level this game doesn't even go to OT

good effort defensively and on the boards but just a sloppy game offensively. too many TO's. this team isn't going to shoot the lights out from 3. get good looks from 2 and be aggressive. keep getting to the ft line. keep racking up wins but more important be better today than yesterday and better tomorrow than today (Harbaugh).

great rebounding numbers. decent turnover numbers other than mulmore. pickett and blair really bring it offensively. They are constantly putting pressure on the defense. Great performance from Mosely. UMES should be another opportunity for the young guys to develop. Get Sodom and Walker some good minutes. They'll be needed come January. Is Mourning playing this year?

the non-conference schedule is an embarrassment.
2016-17 KenPom rank
Nov. 12: Jacksonville (275) Nov. 15: Mount St. Mary’s (209) Nov. 18: Maryland Eastern Shore (321) Nov. 25: at Richmond (92) Nov. 28: Maine (337) Dec. 3: Coppin State (343) Dec. 7: Howard (338) Dec. 9: North Carolina A&T (349) Dec. 16: Syracuse (55) Dec. 20: North Texas (320) Dec. 23: Alabama A&M (351)
backing out of the pk80 was cowardly. i just hope this is a one year thing and not the scheduling philosophy going forward.

so is Trey staying or not? this means huge minutes for govan and derrickson with trey (maybe??) and walker getting big reserve minutes. could open up PT for muresan also. No offense to the young man - but unless Muresan can somehow make a quantum leap by November, he is not ready to contribute any significant minutes. ewing might not have a choice but to give him minutes given the lack of depth and the constant fouling the team has been doing the last 2 years. it's not ideal but there may not be other options. most grad transfers ewing is going after are guard/wing types.

Kemba Walker is supporting his guy = he knows what he's talking about. Jay Williams, also a college champion and covers CBB extensively = clueless. Seems like you just side with whoever shares your opinion. I'm not predicting the future. I give Ewing all my support. I am just saying there are plenty or reasons to have concerns, and the basketball fraternity publicly supporting a beloved figure does not alleviate those concerns. kemba walker opinion after being coached by ewing and communicating with him daily > jay williams opinion based on zero interaction with ewing

Jay Williams nails the concerns many of us have here... The biggest knock on Ewing is his personality that is not very communicative; many are stating that what deterred him from getting a HC job in the NBA. If he was not communicative in the pros scene, I cannot imagine him being communicative with 14, 15, 16 years olds and their parents/coaches. You may see a few 4 star and 5 star players getting excited about meeting Ewing, but those star players also have big self-ego and is Ewing going to be the person who is going to cater up to their ego? If Ewing hires good assistants and leverages his NBA experiences/his name/reputation and the association of the star players to come visit those top recruits and snatch them up, many will be proven wrong, but at the same time exhilarated. But until we see some results from 2017 and 2018 classes, not gonna get the hopes up this is maybe the single dumbest ewing take i have seen. saying that ewing is 'not very communicative' is asinine. listen to the players he coached in the nba. they talk about how much he helped them. he would not have survived 15 years coaching in the nba if he was not able to communicate with young players. the worst part was when you said 'I cannot imagine him being communicative with 14, 15, 16 years olds and their parents/coaches'. are you Editeding serious? you are portraying the same stereotype of ewing that those opposing fans did when he played at georgetown. i honestly feel sorry for you.

If Govan does not want to learn from Ewing, honestly he's a moron. There I said it. In fact no big man in recent memory could benefit more from Ewing than Govan. Correct. There no reason whatsoever Govan shouldn't be ecstatic about this hire. All this says to me is he's not ready for the hard work Patrick is about to put him through in order to make him the best he can be. He just wants to play one side of the court, and that's on offense. Problem is, he was allowed to only do just that. That mess won't fly with Patrick, and it shouldn't. Kid get your mind right because you WILL be working your but off, playing more aggressively, defending with more intensity, rebounding and blocking shots. Get ready!!
i think govan has proven that he is a very lazy player, especially defensively. he completely ignores defense most of the time and was a major factor in why the team was so bad defensively.

it is idiotic to compare ewing to mullin or drexler. neither of them coached a day in their life before taking those jobs. why not wait until he loses a game before you judge him? everyone that has had coached with ewing says he is ready for this. don't you think they know a little bit more than some bitter trolls unhappy that the administration didn't hire the guy they wanted?
